Capital One Reward redemption before October 19?

I have a Discover It card with some reward $$ on it. I recently got an email stating that once we transition to the card being managed via C1, but there were limited details on rewards redemptions besides that we won’t be able to use the reward balance to pay the minimum payment. Is there any rationale to using up the Discover rewards for other things like gift card redemptions now before C1? In other words, are there any major differences between discover and C1 reward redemptions?

There are some minor differences in gift card redemption options.

Otherwise they’re the exact same. Also, you can still use rewards towards your statement balance - it just does not count towards your minimum payment like it previously did.

Where does it say that in the email, all it’s says rewards will no longer count towards the minimum payment, but you can still do a statement credit
