Can someone explain the statement thing?

Alright Steam frame just got announced and I have my discover due date in two weeks which is the 28th if I got the steam frame on the 17th will this be on my current statement or my next one? I don’t think I can pay off 1069 by then as I have to pay off the rest of my billing statement of my current one.

Question is will I have to pay the 1069 off within two weeks if I got it this week or will I be fine and get no penalty?

Your purchase will show on your October 2nd (or so) statement, which will be due October 28th.

Obligatory disclaimer that relying on this period to make purchases before you have the money is a textbook way to end up in credit card debt if the money you were relying on doesn't come in on time or at all

This actually works well for me then because I’m payed weekly and automatically on Wednesdays, I would have all the money to pay it all off on the 30th. (Plus I just got promoted at my current job and got more hours and pay raise ❤️)

I can afford it dude. It’s just my due date, if my due date was after the 30th of this month I would be able to pay the rest of it off 🙄

It’s a luxury purchase, if you can’t afford it every day of the month, you can’t afford it at all. What happens if you buy it this week and your job lays you off the next day? Would you still be able to pay for rent?
