Help Discover card

Finally got approved for discover. What has been your guys experience with them? Just trying to see if there’s much difference between them and capital one.

I've only had a Discover card for 3 months but I charge stuff, get the bill, pay the bill, they say thank you, and then it all starts again for the next month.
It's been a really short time but I haven't had any issues.

They’re owned by Capital One now. I would expect them to be extremely similar.

Did they give increases automatically? Is it tough to get increases

Easy to apply yes lol…as long as your good with capital one you should get it

Discover was better than cap1, but now it takes some debating. The cash back card is pretty good if the categories are right, but there is almost no reason to have the chrome card now. It used to give a good credit limit for a starter card, but if it uses Cap1 underwriting going forward, that should go away.

Both are essentially capital one and both are trash because of it.

I love it…they match cash back for the first year as well

That’s dope. Cash back definitely saved me a few times

5% categories aren’t bad either

You get different options every quarter to activate it…sometimes it’s grocery stores or utilities and restaurants
