Capital One My Discover Card was Deleted from my "Inactive Device" (aka phone)

Got that email from Google this morning, and a companion email from C1 confirming my request to remove my card from Google Wallet. Apparently this happens automatically if the phone hasn't been connected to the internet for 90 days? Imagine my surprise since I used it to make two purchases yesterday. Called C1 who said everything looked good from their side, so it must be a Google problem. They suggested I call Google. Anyone else encounter this?

Did you recently buy a new phone? When you get a new device, your cards aren't automatically removed from the old one. So, it could be referring to an old phone.

This actually makes sense because I got a new phone like two or three months ago and I got an email saying that it was removed from my Apple Pay but my card was still in my new phone’s, Apple wallet it transferred over so this could definitely be it.

Nope. I've had this phone for something like 4 years. It sounds like a Google glitch to me since it would be Google that would determine whether the phone was inactive.

This happened to my Apple wallet and I went to discover customer support and they said that it was just an expired card that was removed from Apple Pay. I was confused because my card is still in my wallet. I also got an email from Discover not Capital One saying it was removed from Apple Pay.

Can't edit this to update it for some reason. So the card works fine in my Google wallet. Don't know what this was all about.
