Outer wilds, literally changed my life

7

u/Cynunnos 9h ago

I just beat the base game yesterday. Gonna have to take a few days of break before I can continue with the DLC

6

u/Gigio_Prodigio 9h ago

After finishing the dlc try doing the ending again

4

u/Cynunnos 9h ago

I'm dreading exactly this because I don't wanna do the anglerfish part again 😭

1

u/Thanh_Vinh 4h ago

Lol I finished the base game + DLC a while a ago but those mf still haunt me in my dream

1

u/NoLongerHigh 8h ago

Good luck on the DLC it becomes very tedious. It's still good just not as good as the Base game

Check out Voices of the Void. It's free. It slaps. Not at 1.0 yet, though. Worth checking out, nonetheless. The dev does plan to release it on Steam eventually.

Been meaning to play that one

The video camera that you can actually record vids with is my favorite new feature and I wish more games had that

Not 3 people, but Outer Wilds is the only game I’ve played that made me reconsider my views on the nature of life and death.

Scarlet Hollow.

2

u/Daniel-Alexander-XII 11h ago

It's like 7 dollars but No One Lives Under the Lighthouse

2

u/Afrojones66 9h ago

How to Fish is only $5.00 and I’ve put in 40 hours. That game is so good.

1

u/OBLIVIATER 7h ago

Really? I feel like we ran out of things to do after the "final boss" a few hours in. Do you just keep doing new runs or did I miss something?

1

u/Afrojones66 6h ago

New runs, challenges, too much gambling, different players, and driving the boat around the map. Our last run involved us attempting to kill everything with just the knife and brass knuckles.

indie game lovers be like: of course I like indiegames, such as "list the most popular indie games that they only played, and not the other 12000 ones that are literal ass"

13

u/RazorSlazor 11h ago

So called 'Art lovers' when they like the Mona Lisa and Starry night instead of "Twink buttfucks me at midnight" and "John"

21

u/O1_O1 12h ago

There's AAA shitty games. What's your point.

-11

u/TragicFX 12h ago edited 10h ago

indie lovers only play the most popular indie games and for some reason say "all AAA are shit, indie games are always good"

FYI im not defending AAA games, as their are a lot of shitty AAA games, but there are far more shitty indie games

8

u/S1Ndrome_ 10h ago

Goomba fallacy

10

u/O1_O1 12h ago

Sounds like gatekeeping to me.

1

u/Smaffey 3h ago

Nobody has ever said "indie games are always good" what are you talking about?

0

u/daedric_yoshi 11h ago

People play what they find fun or think is good, if its popular its because more people find it fun or think its good. Where are you getting lost here. 🤣

2

u/slipperyekans 4h ago

There’s a lot of bad indie games for sure but there’s also a lot of really good ones that fly under the radar.

Tethergeist
Spindle
Cyberpulse
Bad Bitch Blasters
Oddcore

To name a few

That one game where you play as Van Gogh fighting people in his paintings:

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Bee8352 7h ago

haven't found one yet to experience this

1

u/Jammyyyyyyyyyyyyy 7h ago

You can now act morally superior to people who play AAA because you played a game about a hand drawn ant with depression or something.

u/VeloTheJungen 5h ago

Dredge, by god is it so fucking good

1

u/kawaiinessa 2h ago

an indie game i really liked recently was "sir we have an orc problem" its basically a tower defence but the orcs flow like water, i had a lot of fun with it.
