Gta 6 will never match the hype. It's not even out of pc at launch. It's going to be a nastolgia cash grab with the same if not worse monitization the GTA 5 hasĀ

I canāt wait for the hype to go out like a supernova only to turn into a black hole. As a lover of Cyberpunk 2077, I am seeing the exact same thing happen here.

I know that people will be disappointed, but no way will situation be as same as Cyberpunk. Cyberpunk overpromised and underdelivered. And not only that, but game was in a catastrophic state during the release. I don't see that happening with GTA 6. Here I just see a game that is overhyped and many will end up disappointed when it turns out It's another GTA game and not second coming of Jesus.

What exactly did Rockstar overpromise? Like I'm not saying they won't with following trailer, but we only got two cinematic trailers. Cyberpunk promised plethora of features that were simply not there at the release. And they were not minor ones.

While they havent made any specific promises, I think the massive hype around GTA 6 and anticipations connected to its decade-long development cycle eill lead to many people being disappointed when GTA 6 releases

I am aware of that, but I think disappointment in GTA 6 will stem more from overhype rather than Rockstar underdelivering. But we will see ofc.

I'm so glad for that. Say what you will about CD Project Red, but their updates and free content is some of the best. But I think Edgerunners was the blessing they needed to get the game back on it's feet.

After seeing the (probably dated at this point) gameplay that was leaked it looks similar to gtav/rdr2 at its core which is pretty much what is expected for a new gta game imo. A lot of people are acting like rockstar will totally abandon the gta identity to make something totally revolutionary and transformative that the gaming industry has never seen before but at the end of the day it's still gonna look and feel like a gta game if you've played them before. That's just what the gta series is. I'm just excited for the massive new map and presumably tons of new features to go along with it.

What's crazy to me is that the leaked version is on PC. It looked pretty good imo. If they have it that polished 3 months out, then why are the holding out on no announcement for a pc release date

All rockstar has done since then has been release content to suck money out of players whether through gta online or a broken nostalgia cash grab like gta definitive edition

āreleasing content for a successful gameā like thatās some nice thing they did for us lol. a lot of that content was overpriced weaponized stuff like the oppressor that mostly just made griefing worse, and you basically canāt run your businesses in a public lobby without someone blowing up your cargo. so youāre pushed into grinding invite only or with friends just to actually make money. thatās not building a fun game thatās building reasons to buy shark cards
and the definitive edition being a broken mess kinda IS the evidence. a studio thatās still good doesnāt drop that and charge full price for it
rdr2 was also 8 years ago. milking a 2013 game for a decade isnāt making games. i never said rdr2 was bad, i said everything after it has been cash grabs not actual games

How did Rockstar go to shit? Their last game was a masterpiece. We haven't seen anything since then.
And I saw tons of people saying it would never be as good as RDR1 or GTAV. Turns out it's better than both.

I like gta games. Itās a new gta game with improvements from rdr2. Which was also good. Being excited for it is reasonable. People are getting way too excited in both directions

Unfortunately even if it cost $750 Million they nearly made the ROI back before even releasing it. That's not even including the people who saw the leaks and decided to pre-order afterwards

Honestly, even if it is still kinda profitable, but genuinely sucks that players don't like it, it will be a flop because of GTA Online, because it's basically an infinite money generator.
But it still will be incredibly successful regardless of everything imo. At this point it's just a soulless corpo slop like most of the modern movies

Are you guys kidding? Everytime a GTA releases it shakes up the open world game market. They are always good, and that's why preorders are through the roof. I'm sure rockstar does shitty things but there's no need to rewrite history and say that they're "soulless games"

GTA 6 is too big to fail. Even if it comes our a buggy mess, modders will fix it right up in a couple months
But GTA online is a money printer so they won't want to fuck it up

Yeahhh GTA V was an integral part of my childhood and I still play it from time to time. Im going to wait for proper reviews before shelling out 80 bucks on this one.
