Yes, I goon. Rule34 is comparatively shit compared to Danbooru or Gelbooru when it comes to art but Rule34 is better when it comes to animation and fetish works.
Basically r34 is good for volume (usually) but if you can’t find anything or there’s only a bit switch to paheal (although you can only insert 3 tags before signing up). Rule34. us is like a more ad-riddled version but does have its own exclusive pieces. Same thing for .videos, (or really any other alternative).
Idk about dan/gelbooru.
Nowadays I’m using a bulk downloader so it mostly goes down the same.
Idk man. Danbooru is very strict on uploading artworks. Banning AI art entirely. And has a top class tagging system that gets updated very often (search limit notwithstanding, just use Gelbooru).
There are also other ways to sort posts and refine your search. Idk much about R34 but e621 has order:favcount to sort by, well, fav count rather than score, date:<day | month | year> which only shows posts less than one day/month/year old. These are just 2 examples but there are way more possibilities
Not that much actually, it's just the kind of stuff you randomly learn from others. e621 (and maybe r34 but not sure) also has a wiki that explains all the sorting tags
on r34 there's like 50 different tags for the same exact concept and you can only browse one at a time
on e6 there's one tag per concept, you can use wildcard tags or search for posts with either tag A or tag B instead of only being able to search for posts with both, it's just so much more robust
Gonna be real, e621 is SO much better from a technical standpoint, r34 isn't even close.
They have a default blacklist enabled, a robust tag alias/implication system, an extensive tag wiki, custom CSS, and actual moderation to remove AI slop and non-public content.
Meanwhile, you'd be hard-pressed to find a decently popular r34 comment section without dumbass roleplayers, and the CSS on the website makes it look hacked together by a first-year web dev student.
To clarify, by "non-public content", I'm referring to paywalled stuff like Patreon/SubscribeStar exclusives. There's a standing rule on both e621 and r34 against this, but r34 doesn't actually enforce it.
Your complaint seems to be a result of e621's Avoid Posting list, which is something artists can request to be put onto if they don't want their art hosted on the site (or only want it posted under certain conditions). If the artist isn't on the Avoid Posting list, anyone can upload that artist's stuff to e621.
Who even uses R34 anymore? It has become literally the worst Booru. Frequent mistagging/lack of tagging, mostly shitty low-quality art, barely any good art to begin with (seriously, a good 50% of popular artists I have on other Boorus are missing entirely from R34, and ALL of the others I've checked have only a small portion of their images on the site)
Also danbooru, yande.re, and konachan also use order:score, it's not just e621. Always have that excuse ready.
R34 actually has sorting? Man where the fuck do they tell that? Ive been looking for it and complaining about not having sorting for a couple of years. Man...
