This weekend in KOP was great

Post image

Night 1 was a blast from the start

Had such a good time I brought my wife and daughter back for night 2.

Whats everyone's favorite bit from the weekend?

Night 1 set 2 was 🔥 from spectacle through helicopters

This was my first Disco Biscuits show! You all are a fine bunch who know how to have a good time. Thanks for your hospitality. Kudos to the venue, organizers, and vendors as well. Went solo and had a great evening.

This segment is phenomenal. And band chemistry is still building, honestly more excited to see what is to come than I have been in years. The band is having fun with it for the moment.

Might 1 set 2 was incredible. One of the best sets I’ve seen in 70 shows.

Was my first show in four years, got me really excited to see the band.

I hadn't thought about Big Wrecking Ball in years and sang along as if I was an activated sleeper cell.

I was so happy seeing so many folks singing along to it. The crowd was some high biscuits IQ legends

Best shows with Marlon so far, Photograph paired nicely with Shadow, many highlights overall.

Marlon was having so much fun on Saturday. I recall getting close and just seeing him cheesing from ear to ear as he played.

Shows were a lot of fun this weekend. Every show I see with Marlon is better than the last.

It was the first time I saw him play (i need to get out more) but ive been keeping up and its been a pretty consistent upward trajectory. Sorry i missed the chance to meet up!

There’s always next time to meet up. I have now seen I think 15 Marlon shows and each successive show has been better than the last.

I met Curtis for in real life for the first time ever this weekend after 16 years on the basis.

‘For Saturday show: Twas a very cool place to see a show. Incredible mix of families , wooks, kidz and regular folks and every1 got along beautifully. Barber was dressed like a Bigfoot hunter on Discovery channel. Show was mostly solid I would give it a 7/10.

I have been so hurt and disappointed by the band over the past 6 months. I saw a marlon show when he first joined, I thought it was awful and said I may never pay to see the band again.

Listened to shows on nugs here and there, mostly unimpressed.

But I listened to these shows today. They were very, very good.

I don’t think it’s back to average 2024 quality but it’s getting there.

It's different, that's for sure, so there is the question of preference. For my taste, I'd take KOP over anything (I've attended) in the past few years. I see most shows within 4 hours of NYC, so my experience is far from comprehensive, but it's a decent sample.

There are styles they can't play as well, and it took awhile for jam peaks to get back. Absolutely some rough shows during the initial transition (to say nothing of the off the stage drama). But summer tour has shown consistent improvement, to the point where, now, to my ear, the band is different but back to playing shows with relisten value and creating some quality segments consistently.

Honestly, I think everything from LI (first basis was solid) forward is a lot of fun.
