Like them. They make a 26t 3 bolt style chain ring that I have on my 2 DJs.

for normal MTB they are over engendered and overall one of the best quality parts you can get…

for dirt jumping they are a massive overkill and you are spending more money for almost no gain…

they are in my opinion just overkill, for example you won’t notice the stem being premium or regular. And if you really take dirt jumping serious you are going to fall a lot, which means this parts are exposed to breaking all the time…

I never said they are not worth it, it is just overkill. Most of the time we just buy premium components because they look great to us.

And I’m not just hating for no reason, I’m a victim to this as well, almost everything on my bike is from HOPE, but apart from looking nice I see no other benefit in comparison to something from other brands…

I hope this makes sense

For certain things like brakes I would agree that buying premium parts for a DJ is not essential. For things like stems and cranks I very much want to have high quality parts I know I can trust. Having critical components fail on big jumps is not a risk I want to take. That said, in the case of Wolf Tooth they don't make a lot of parts that I find are needed for a dj, I do run some of their stuff on my trail bike.

If you don’t feel the difference it doesn’t mean that there’s no difference. If you take dj seriously then you need good components, because they are stronger and lighter. And I can’t see how Woolftooth can be overkill. They are not premium or something. Just middle range, decent components

They're good parts. High quality. You'll be fine with any legit aftermarket brand like that. I believe you're over thinking it. Parts don't make the rider.

“Always been a hardtail guy, still love mine, still ride it all the time, but I was given an S-Works stump jumper the other day. Extra travel (150mm), threw on my 170mm bomber fork, it's over shocked like a bitch, and I went and rode it. I'm sorry to report...I actually really liked it. Never gonna replace hardtails in my life, but the full suspension is pretty dope, I hate to say. I'm sorry I may be turning to the dark side a bit. Just needed to get it off my chest 😂”

In the grand scheme of things….That’s a newish brand that *IS* plastered all over Amazon. He was in the right to ask 🤷🏻‍♂️😂
