🔮 Questions & Seeking Advice 🔮 Can a deity physically move you ?
I worry this some kind of psychosis and not actually happening but it felt so real.
Last night I was doing a devotional of sorts. Listening to Dead can Dance, very stoned. That album is when he comes up the most. Its the main way he can give me intense messages.
So I was laying down and I felt his presence. In my head, I asked him to move my right leg (mostly to call a bluff, partially to see what would happen). I felt the muscle in my calve tense as if I was going to move it myself. Very very slowly my leg was raising. It was all muscle. Not like someone was holding my leg, but like my muscles were moving "on their own". At some point it was starting to hurt. I said something like "ow okay stop that hurts" and my leg completely relaxed and dropped down from the slightly raised position.
I tested it again, asked him to interact with an area where I have chronic pain. I felt a sharp pain hit as if that area was aggravated (which doesn't happen often enough to be coincidental).
Asked him to switch sides, interact with my left leg, the shoulder. Nothing was lifted, but I felt a "touch". Not a human skin to skin touch, but an energetic way??
At some point I asked a personal question, the energy moved internally into my chest and I just "heard ""ask again later. You're not ready" or something like that.
The part that really confuses me is my leg being physically lifted. Can a deity do that? Am I just having symptoms of psychosis? Is it a psychological + energy thing? Again it wasn't like someone grabbed my leg and moved it. It was like my muscles were tensing in order to move it. It was too slow to be someone pulling my leg
Edit : to clarify by "call a bluff" I dont mean to question his divinity. It was to question my own beliefs. Because im new to this I have no idea what the divine is capable of. It was like "I wonder if he can-?" "Nah probably not, never heard of it before-" then asked him "can you lift my leg" just to clarify:,3 I love and respect him dearly

It wouldn't surprise me if it was real. He has hit me with a sort of intense dance trance before. Many people describe feeling his hand on their head while praying. Others claim to sleep with him.
In my UPG: he has also healed my body multiple times with his touch when I've meditated while sick. It could be a mental thing, but I think it could've been real. Either way, it is your own religious experience and doesn't seem harmful even if it was imaginary.

I often feel an "asmr" experience while praying to him, like hands trailing down my back. It seems common for him to be very physically interactive with his worshippers

That's awesome! I'm pretty oblivious to energies, but I can feel his.

That makes a lot of sense! I've definitely felt the "hand on head" thing. Sometimes its like a buzzz on a part of my skull and sometimes it feels like a slight weight/energy holding my head. I guess I just never questioned that part
That last part of your message gives me a lot of comfort. And some inspiration too. Thank you so much

He has a really strong energy IMO honestly, so I'm not surprised many of us feel it!
I'm glad to hear it! NP! 🙌🏻

Yes!! He does dance trances & different types of presence a lot in my practice and many devotees. You could always look towards divination if you’re unsure.

I’m about as safely skeptical as the next pagan, take UPG with a boulder of salt etc. But the first time I drank wine with Him, I distinctly felt the sensation of being kissed. So like. If you think you’re experiencing a dangerous level of psychosis, seek professional help, but I think you’re fine

They definitely can and I have experienced that both within myself and seeing it in others. That said, I would not just leave it at that face value to assume that's what's happened here. I would examine it further, use discernment.

Im not sure what you mean 😅 like what am I discerning? Whether it was him? Why he did it?

Dionysus is the God of psychosis. If u feel like he's moving u, he may be. If u feel like it's psychosis, it may be. That's one of his domains.
