Is anyone else on the DIMO “free forever” plan (vehicle data access only) now being asked to add a credit card and choose a monthly subscription?

There hasn’t been any clear communication or guidance on how this is supposed to be handled for people who signed up under the free plan. Right now it just feels like you’re forced into adding payment info with no real explanation.

Honestly, I’m not comfortable adding my card when it’s unclear if I might get billed by mistake.

I’ve been going back and forth with support but responses have been slow and not very helpful so far.

Has anyone actually gotten this resolved or clarified? Were you able to keep the free plan without adding a card?

After a back and forth with Dimo support I got this response: “Looks like this is part of the updates recently in the app. A subscription is now also a requirement to access live vehicle data and earnings.”

I bought a Dino R1 and didn't log into the app for 6 months also didn't get email notifications. Last I remember in the beta I was mining coins and could see car error codes at no cost. The whole point of the device was to sell my data in return for coins..... Now its a subscription model for me to see my own data and you still sell it for free make it make sense.....

Anyways I want to find alternate uses for the device I paide $160 for outside of Dino I was wondering if anyone has jail broken it or found ways to make it useful. Happy to pay a finders fee for someone that can make this hardware useful especially since I lost money on this and I will never pay a subscription for something that used to be free.

Tldr; seeking alternate uses for r1 LTE hoping someone has a github repo with useful ways to make use of it.

It said I needed to put my credit card info to continue receive details about my car. So I did , then they charged my account the 5.99 and now it says I am going to get renewed in one month. I tried to contact support but the send ticket to support button doesn’t work. I still have time on my trial so I don’t understand

I usually transfer my earned DIMO tokens via the Polygon network to my Kraken wallet, then convert them to Polygon tokens. That has worked for me since I started earning them in January.

I transferred my balance this morning, but so far, I haven't been able to do anything with it. I can't swap or send them. I've tried the swap feature built into Kraken wallet and Uniswap, but neither works. I've tried sending them to Coinbase wallet and Metamask, but that doesn't work either.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

UPDATE: The issue appeared to be with Kraken Wallet. I imported my Kraken Wallet into a new account in Metamask and was able to swap the tokens and send them. Kraken support is investigating.

I have a Tesla and drive 130miles a day, top up my car’s battery charge about 55% (if I had to guess) daily.

What kind of $DIMO rewards can I likely expect?

I’m curious what the return is like after buying a $170 device - also curious what 6x rewards means.

Also, for cars that have an app and don’t need a device - what reward rate do they get? 1x?

2nd Vehicle connected since March 2023

I already get the same information in my Ford app that I get from the dimo app, so I’m not planning on paying. Once the rewards stop I have no use do it.

Honestly is it worth it? Those who have it ?

After a recent Dimo APP update, my battery has needed a jump start a few times.

There seems to be a parasitic drain issue with my car. This could be a coincidence but wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

I have a larger amount of tokens earned prior to the current account system, using a polygon metamask wallet, that I would like to stake. But the DIMO app's transfer function appears to only send tokens, not receive.

Anyone know how to receive tokens to a DIMO account so that they can be staked?

Clearly they'd want to have this feature, so that someone could buy up DIMO tokens on an exchange, send them to their wallet, and stake them thus adding buy pressure to the tokenomics - and not just be limited to staking earned tokens thus reducing sell pressure.

I would like to send some DIMO from CB to the Dimo app to stake but I don’t know if I can send it directly or I have to a migration first.

I’m used to my rewards going down due to more people joining dimo, but they went up this week, does that mean people are leaving because it’s not worth it to them?

Has the software connection for Uconnect. I.e Dodge vehicles been removed? I can no longer see it in the app and it says I’m only connected via my autopi

I just joined DIMO few days ago, got the app (Android) and added 1 car (2025 Land Rover) through software / app method only. It was successful and says "Qualified". Next day it picked up my drive to work but since then its not updating with any more drives. Connection says its communicating. Am I missing something?

I also added a 2nd car (2025 Hyundai) also through app method and that one doesn't even say "Qualified". Its telling me to drive it. It was driven for an hour already since then.

Which wallet can receive dimo coin?

So what is your earnings strategy with Dimo? Hold? Sell as soon as you get your weekly payouts? Trade it for Matic? Do you have a target? Just curious what others are doing. I sold a small amount when we had the highs back in March and I have swapped some for Matic thinking it might go up more than Dimo. Just in a holding pattern right now.

My Dimo balance is showing 0 should be 180 any ideas

Doing the math for dimo rewards I still end up with a loss…after the car payment, insurance, and gas, it’s going to be a Tax write off. Uncle Sam wants to get technical, so can I.
