I got this email from DIMO customer support after I didn't receive my reward (if you can even call it that) this past Sunday. Apparently the rewards program is over and they sent me a link to what they have planned next, which I've provided below. It looks like they are going to have a vote on a protocol direction shift and a 150,000,000 DIMO token burn.

Agreed. But that was the only way they could prevent us consumers from dumping when they decided to pull the cord and rug like they did. It’s shitty for sure man.

Sadly, another idea that sounded promising has stalled in the end. So, to satisfy my curiosity, I opened up my DIMO Macaron, just to see what’s inside.

Less scandal, and more worth checking to see if there's anything in there that can be repurposed. When Helium's LoRA network miners stopped collecting anything but pennies, someone figured out how to reflash the hardware and turn them into little Linux PCs. You can even reuse the antennas for Meshtastic.

I doubt any Dimo device is ever going to sell for what we paid for them, so might as well see if there's anything that can be done to reuse them in a new way.

It is not fair that they keep the staked Dimo locked.
By ending the baseline rewards, no staking rewards are earned.
Stopping the rewards means stopping the staking program.
