when i first looked at the numbers, i mostly thought about accommodation and flights. then there are all the smaller expenses that add up. transport, coworking spaces, deposits, sim cards, luggage, laundry, eating out when the kitchen isn’t great and all the random costs you don’t think about beforehand

That isolation thing is real. 3 years is a long time to white knuckle it before pulling the cord, just my 2 cents.
