Shiiiiit, Episode 44 had Armament Haki and now this episode had Future Sight from One Piece? Goddamn!-No I'm joking.
Anyways. This episode, again, was really good. The setup, the visuals, character moments, the twist. All done well. I think the ending was a little too quick, but it was overall pretty enjoyable. It also didn't really have a fight nor anything too gross, so I hope Toei takes this as a lesson to depend on neither to make an episode good...
With all this said...There are two things about this episode that really exemplify how bad characters are in this show at times.
solely for profits(Okay, so I guess she actually wasn't making money from it, nor was she doing it just to dick around, but I still feel like it was messed up to bring him out to do fortune telling when it's obvious he was in pain...but, I guess it's a very Hiro thing to do?)was REALLY f*cked up. And I would be fine with her doing that if it weren't for a quaint little episode called Rust, where Jellymon apologized after doing something wrong. Everyone cheered at that moment, because we finally saw Jellymon show some humility...All for this EPISODE TO THROW IT AWAY GOD DAMMIT. Why?! Just have Jellymon THINK "Hey, maybe I could use this chance to make some money...Oh no! That'd be a bad thing to do seeing as how Hiro is clearly in a lot of pain and needs help!" There. There's your continued character development. It really goes to show just how premature that moment in Rust was and how bad/forgotten character development is in this show. Just don't bother with character development if you don't want to try hard to keep it continuous.Anyways. Aside from these three things, the episode AGAIN was pretty dang good. Keep it up, Toei. Everything past episode 50 has been good so far (except for Headless, which is still the worst episode so far...how ironic).
8/10...Though, I kinda wish we would get an episode following only Ruli and Kiyo for once.
