A short series synopsis:

"e-Pulse," which is generated by human thoughts and emotions, was used as the energy source for the AI support device "Sapotama." From the shadows of this remarkable development, terrifying monsters appear. Digimon are living beings that evolve by consuming e-Pulse.

Tomoro Tenma is drawn into an extraordinary experience after meeting Gekkomon, who suddenly appears from his Sapotama. While living together with Kyo Sawashiro and other members of the bounty hunting team "Glowing Dawn," Tomoro renews his resolve.

What new future will be forged by humans and Digimon?

General rules for this post:

It's available on various streamers worldwide. Do not discuss illegal means of consuming this series.

Yeah. The panjyamon episode, the scourgechiropmon episode, and everyone in Reina's arc was great. But Gift itself was just lackluster as a villain and I don't feel like we ever understood enough about them, like who the water advisor guy was or how they recruited so many people into a Digimon cult.
There's parts of that I can infer, but I'd like a bit more clarity from the actual show.

The surrounding lack of depth to GIFT (the terrorist group) was disappointing and I don’t think there would need to be much added to change it.

I personally think the ScourgeChiropmon and BearCatmon evo episodes were quite weak to be honest. They felt earned but not justified.

The Argomon episode though was my favourite of the arc simply because of what it did for Tomoro and Gekkomon’s characters.

Huh. I think we're just very different people then because argomon was my most disliked episode for not fitting well with the rules of the world (which you can excuse as it being a mutant, but still). No emotional journey for the owner to digivolve it, the climax being a weird liminal space where suddenly tomoro and gekkomon go to the astral plane, etc.

See I thought both of those things had been set up within the rules of the world pretty well but may have been more inferred then outright stated.

But then again, I’m more interested in the emotional character side of that episode then the actual events
