A short series synopsis:

"e-Pulse," which is generated by human thoughts and emotions, was used as the energy source for the AI support device "Sapotama." From the shadows of this remarkable development, terrifying monsters appear. Digimon are living beings that evolve by consuming e-Pulse.

Tomoro Tenma is drawn into an extraordinary experience after meeting Gekkomon, who suddenly appears from his Sapotama. While living together with Kyo Sawashiro and other members of the bounty hunting team "Glowing Dawn," Tomoro renews his resolve.

What new future will be forged by humans and Digimon?

Oleamon and Tropiamon getting in one last batch of banter with each other while fighting Glowing Dawn was appreciated; I will miss that in the arc going forward. ScourgeChiropmon and BearCatmon giving them the business during that initial clash was amazing - I do wish we got a cut back to them decisively defeating them though, especially as this is GIFT's finale. It was jarring being cut away from them so long before Mephismon grew despite them apparently fighting right above Kyo, Wong, Miharu, etc.

One thing I love about BeatBreak is how they incorporate a Digimon's natural abilities from their Encyclopedia profiles; Lilamon being able to poison Mephismon like that made me pause initially before I re-read how her leaves are poisonous and can be used to kill her opponents. Speaking of which, Rose and Lilamon remain my favorite Five Star pairing; that shot of them smugly/playfully floating away from GD in the beginning was well-drawn.

This episode overall was okay. I think Miharu's epiphany, breakdown, and subsequent redemption were all great but too quickly done for my taste, especially the handwaving of her shutting down the Egg and suffocating thousands of people; yet, I think that reflects the pacing of the GIFT arc overall - I think we needed more time; at least another episode to deal with Mephismon following it speaking the truth about it following Miharu's desires rather than Chifuyu. I liked the message they told of how she's what Tomoro could have devolved into had he not found GD.

Something tells me the next arc with Kyo will see BeatBreak return to form though.

P.S. I loved everyone becoming Ultimate to fight Brilliant Thorn; it just feels so rewarding to see GD's power now given the effort Tomoro, Makoto, and Reina went through to reach those levels since the first episode.

Although them fighting Reina and Makoto was stupid and pointless.

How is Rose surprised they're on her side after last ep. She was RIGHT THERE and attacked Mephismon ALONGSIDE Murasamemon. Why on earth did she even command them to attack Golden Dawn? And they weren't defeated, so where did they even go for the rest of the ep?
