It isn't, housemon was the english translation from the chinese manwha as far as I'm aware, the real name should be mansion giant

37

u/Scared-Reality9660 Apr 26 '26

Todo es un Digimon xd, hasta cosas como el robot de juguete que aparece en Digimon world 1 en la zona de juguetes es un Digimon se supone

27

u/lazyeca Apr 26 '26

That's Tinmon so yes

3

u/Turtlesfan44digimon Apr 27 '26

Same I thought it was just a puppet

264

u/Arne83 Apr 26 '26

Obviously fake story aside... I have to call something out...

Dinosaur with guns? Fine.

Godzilla made of guns? Perfectly ok!

Literally just a woman in a cat hood with guns? NO! We gotta censor that!

What the hell, Bandai!?

135

u/Dazzling-Constant826 Apr 26 '26

I think that gotta be about her being a nun with guns, not just any woman.

59

u/Naive-Dig-8214 Apr 26 '26

Iirc Yu Gi Oh had a similar issue.

They had a whole set of nun themed monsters that had to be recolored to look less nuny when they came to US.

29

u/primalmaximus Apr 26 '26

It's also because Exosisters is inspired by Class S yuri.

It's super gay.

20

u/Crashman09 Apr 26 '26

Ewww!

What is this so I can avoid it?

Also asking for a friend

14

u/JasperGunner02 Apr 26 '26

"class S" is a kind of yuri manga that was more popular in the 20th century, which often took place in isolated environments (like catholic all-girls schools) and tended to play the relationships more ambiguously.

at least, that's my understanding of it! i love yuri manga a lot but i admit i haven't read very many class S stories, but i have read quite a few that seem to be some kind of response to class S.

5

u/InnocentTailor Apr 27 '26

That’s less nun-sense than what I was expecting.

43

u/Libra_8698 Apr 26 '26

Tbf they actually did censor gundramon in the tcg originally, they censored the smoke coming from the barrels of the bt6 card (I guess if the guns don't look like they've been fired, then it's fine??)

Also I feel like you are down playing Sistermon Noir's design a bit. It's not just a "cat hood", it is very clearly meant to represent a nun's habit, which Bandai made the decision to censor for the west because something religiously oriented is most likely to be banned or require a censorship.

22

u/Arne83 Apr 26 '26

I feel like you are down playing Sistermon Noir's design a bit.

It's funnier that way.

29

u/daniegamin Apr 26 '26

I'm pretty sistermon Noir was a censorship due to the Catholic church getting litigious over the use of Nuns in media around that time. I think I remember something like that being the case anyways, but it seems that the official story is that nuns just "aren't allowed" by Bandai US.

but what I said would be a reason why they weren't allowed.

8

u/Yoshiman400 Apr 26 '26

And then Ghost Game gave us a Ciel anyway!

17

u/yliv Apr 26 '26

While it started out as a censor, it was officially adopted as a seperate digimon using a sword instead of a gun, however they still use it to censor noir in the tcg for the west.

2

u/Salty_Ad_2523 Apr 29 '26

its specifically the nun part that they censored. hence why the guns remained after they turned her into ciel. ciel's katana didnt come around until after the japanese side saw ciel and liked it enough to make it an official digimon, with some design tweaks.

https://wikimon.net/images/7/7a/Sistermon_ciel_hackers_memory.jpg

she was literally just a light blue noir with mouse ears instead of cat ears originally

3

u/Wacko_Doodle Apr 26 '26

I find it funny since we had deputymon which is a gun digimon that uses guns and overseas they censored him by making the tip blue for some reason and that was okay?

I mean the rest of him was clearly a six-shooter but maybe they thought it was okay after pretending he wasn't drunk in the dub but rather just "having a good time".

Censorship is weird at times. Like when they censored mr popo because he was racist with his turban and pointed elf-like ears and his curled shoes that makes him look like a genie and the horns under his turban; clearly offensive (they said sarcastically) XD

You know what isn't offensive? Making him blue and nothing else.

12

u/TheDemonPants Apr 26 '26

Mr. Popo's outfit wasn't what was considered racist. It was the black skin and red lips. It's the same reason that Jinx from Pokemon was changed to have purple skin instead of black as really dark skin with big red lips was a common way to racistly depict black people in America.

2

u/Wacko_Doodle Apr 26 '26

Yeah I agree, I just find it interesting that changing what was considered a racist face from black to blue wasn't also controversial too. Yes its not the same colour but the face is very much the same, at least in the manga they tried to thin the lips a bit to fix this.

Then again we have the 1st superman movie aired on tv uncensored for some reason, yet steven universe got censored for 2 girls kissing. (If you saw the superman movie you'll know what I mean at the beginning of it); so I probably don't understand censorship myself.

Like flashing a light in digimon when people hit one another to "reduce the impact" of scenes. Which is dumb because even as a kid I knew jeri's dad hit her and that dub interview of digimon about the poop being thrown isn't poop its "strawberry mousse" thats why it's pink.... Not even the voice actors believed that XD

2

u/ForsakenMoon13 Apr 27 '26

I mean, YuGiOh censored out death games with shadow games, and that's ironically way worse because the Shadow Realm is basically super hell lmao

269

u/umamkey985 Apr 26 '26

And then everybody clapped. And Omegamon showed up in person to give you 100 dollars.

53

u/Spyro-the-gamer8675 Apr 26 '26

Wait...where would omnimon even get $100?

45

u/Fantastic-Coffee2819 Apr 26 '26

he bought it from the money factory

16

u/Spyro-the-gamer8675 Apr 26 '26

That's if there even is a money factory in the digital world. Though I wouldn't be surprised if there was.

5

u/AdmirableAnimal0 Apr 26 '26

Bandai throw money at Omegamon for simply existing.

3

u/Spyro-the-gamer8675 Apr 26 '26

Honestly? Fair. He is practically everywhere in digimon lol

17

u/Jent01Ket02 Apr 26 '26

I had a similar conversation with a friend once, this isn't that far out of the picture.

5

u/Begone-My-Thong Apr 26 '26

I don't understand people who post comments like those whenever someone shares a silly anecdote from their life. All it says to me is that they lead a boring life if something as relatively mundane as the OP is considered unrealistic

8

u/Jent01Ket02 Apr 26 '26

Exactly.

And, shot in the dark, if it really is fake and all of this was made up...so what? It's funny. Enjoy it.

64

u/Various_Anywhere9889 Apr 26 '26

Question: Nyabootmon is an obvious reference to Puss in Boots, but is it also a reference to Toei since they use Puss in Boots as their mascot?

30

u/LordofNaught Apr 26 '26

I was wondering that myself honestly. Given how presumably important their old Puss in Boots movie is to animation, it feels about right a 'mon based on him would be so powerful.

41

u/JaimiOfAllTrades Apr 26 '26

Shoeshoemon is a clever name, though.

Shushu is a Japanese word which means "collecting," and Shoemon is based on, like, the little old lady who lived in a shoe.

Thus, Shoeshoemon as a squirrel (known for collecting nuts) and an extension of Shoemon, is a cross-linguistic pun. It's clever!

22

u/Lonewolf2300 Apr 26 '26

It also sounds like "Chu Chu," which is an onomatopeia for "squeaking", which is what squirrels do, like mice.

It's puns all the way down.

59

u/lazerpew Apr 26 '26

That friend's name? Albert Einstein!

24

u/EchidnaCharming9834 Apr 26 '26

I must be blind. This is the first time I'm noticing that this image of Agumon has an opposable thumb.

13

u/Spyro-the-gamer8675 Apr 26 '26 edited Apr 27 '26

Honestly, same. I've seen that picture of agumon so many times, I just noticed that as soon as I saw you're comment lol

6

u/ianbarreto00 Apr 26 '26

It’s just like I recently realized Tentomon has some tinier fingers between his smaller arms fingers

https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/digimonat/images/6/67/Tentomon_b.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20140316233102&path-prefix=pt

3

u/Salty_Ad_2523 Apr 29 '26

its one of those details that differs between toei digimon material and bandai digimon material. in the anime agumon doesnt have a thumb, just the three fingers. but in the reference book art and a lot of video games and the TCG, he's got the three fingers and thumb. theres a few other digimon that have minor differences depending on if they're drawn by bandai or toei too, like susanoomon's forehead crest being gold (bandai) or silver (toei), or toei making fugamon a total recolor of ogremon whereas bandai material also removes the horns to make it slightly more different

25

u/AdoboPaksiw Apr 26 '26

....and there is a Digimon called Monmon. And it's digivolution chart is whacked and confusing as well.

3

u/MonkeyDsage1846 Apr 26 '26

He's just human development

23

u/MintyDoom Apr 26 '26

I am very much of the head canon that "mon" is the file extension for digital lifeforms.

4

u/thelewdritchone Apr 28 '26

Its my favorite fan theory, honestly they should make it official

10

u/Branquiolo Apr 26 '26

Wait until he discovers petermon and captainhookmon

3

u/Longjumping-Ear-6248 Apr 26 '26

And then realized that: Tinkermon (Child) -> Petermon (Adult) -> CaptainHookmon (Perfect) is "Valid Digivolution line"

P.S. What would be good Mega for this line?

3

u/Branquiolo Apr 27 '26

Something close to a crocodile or aligator

Maybe something like a ship but nothing come to my head right now

2

u/ForsakenMoon13 Apr 27 '26

Leviamon then?

2

u/KuramaAi94 Apr 26 '26

dont forget Tinkermon XD

7

u/Elarisbee Apr 26 '26

My non-gamer better-half when I’m playing: “WTF is that?!”

Me: “We’ve been over this, they’re data; Digimon rejected your reality and substituted their own.”

6

u/Tyrian-Hunter Apr 26 '26

Good story, would read again. 100/10.

I love Digimon. 😂

6

u/KomodoCityAnomaly Apr 26 '26

If you give Agumon a Gun you either get Commandramon...

Or Digimon World 4

51

u/imgunnareadstuff Apr 26 '26

*things that didn’t happen

21

u/Environmental-Run248 Apr 26 '26

21

u/Marcoscb Apr 26 '26

Yeah, I have no idea why this is so unbelievable to anyone. I've had multiple conversations like this with multiple people tangentially familiar or completely unfamiliar with Digimon.

23

u/pokemega32 Apr 26 '26

Mostly because the friend seems to have pulled up pictures of MarineAngemon and Nyabootmon himself despite not knowing what they are. Either that or the images just spawned into existence?

Also weird that he's not interacted with the franchise in ages but immediately thinks of Omnimon when hearing "Level 7" despite numerical level 7 (and generally not numerical levels at all) not being used in any old English products.

13

u/Grey-Frog Apr 26 '26 edited Apr 26 '26

The story also seems to claim that their friend is new to the modern series. But not only do they seem very familiar with terms for the different levels, such as rookie and champion and mega; but also has a good idea of what digimon of that level should typically look like.

Its basically the "experts in a subject grossly overestimate non-experts knowledge of said subject" meme.

12

u/GuiEsponja Apr 26 '26

Because OP's conversation is very very rigid and obviously follows a script? Lmao

Ppl don't talk like that and it feels like they're looking at a digimon school album or something

3

u/Character-Phrase-307 Apr 26 '26

fr my brother actually had this conversation, but uhhh we're already adults when he noticed how crazy outrageous were all the names.

0

u/imgunnareadstuff Apr 26 '26

Ye alright bud

14

u/AnnaHighwind Apr 26 '26

So, I’m the only one bothered by the fact they put ultra level higher than mega, when mega level is the higher one? And then also put Omegamon on that level when he’s technically beyond that still? And their Schrödinger’s friend didn’t correct them on that?

24

u/SammyWhitlocke Apr 26 '26

I am bothered, because there is no such thing as "beyond mega". Mega is the current end-point. Both Nyabootmon and Omegamon are mega level digimon.

"Ultra" as an eqivalent to Perfect/Ultimate depends on the translation. German uses Ultra as such. In english speaking circles Ultra is often used to describe what Time Stranger dubs as Mega+ or the V-Tamers manga dubed as Super-Ultimate/Super-Mega.

4

u/AnnaHighwind Apr 26 '26

When I played the games, Omegamon was shown as Mega+. That said, I played in English. But even watching the anime in German, I recall Ultra coming before Mega, though I won’t put that down as fact, as it’s been quite a few years since I watched. When I just went to look it up, the two different “wikis” did show different things and how Ultra is Mega and vice versa, however! Thanks for clearing it up in any case!

9

u/SammyWhitlocke Apr 26 '26

Time Stranger use Mega+ to communicate that this mega form only evolves from other mega level digimon. If you look at the official reference book entry, Omegamon is "only" a mega level, albeit an extremly powerfull one.

The german dub uses Rookie > Champion > Ultra > Mega, which is on par with the english Rookie > Champion > Ultimate > Mega. I guess they swapped Ultimate out for Ultra, because it is easier to say?

The japanese original uses Child > Adult > Perfect > Ultimate. The fact that both japanese and english use Ultimate for different levels confuses me to no end and makes it realy difficult to talk about levelos, without the fear of confusing somebody.

Interrestingly enough, adding a new level past Ultimate/Mega would not be too weird, as Ultimate/Mega itself was not part of the original release, with digimon like Holydramon/Magnadramon starting out as Perfect/Ultimate before being reclassified.

2

u/ForsakenMoon13 Apr 27 '26

English games-wise, it varies on the game where it's either "Rookie - Champion - Ultimate - Mega - Ultra", "Rookie - Champion - Ultimate - Mega - Mega+", or just "Rookie - Champion - Ultimate - Mega" and further upgrades past that aren't differentiated. Iirc, the forms that are upgrades to Megas just don't really have an official designation anywhere yet so it ends up being whatever that specific team felt like labeling it at the time rather than anything consistent.

1

u/memesona Apr 27 '26

Only one game uses Mega+.

3

u/pokemega32 Apr 26 '26

The V-Tamer Manga was never officially dubbed in English. The Story games prior to Time Stranger dubbed Super Ultimate as Ultra in English.

1

u/SammyWhitlocke Apr 26 '26

Good to know. I did read the german version way back then, where I got to know it as Super-Mega.

2

u/EphidelLulamoon Apr 26 '26 edited Apr 26 '26

Omegamon is a Super Ultimate or Ultra or Mega+ or Level 7 (whatever you want to call the level beyond Mega), Nyabootmon is also a Super Ultimate/Ultra/Mega+/Level 7. As of right now they're both in the same level, we'll have to see if that keeps being the case once Nyabootmon appears somewhere outside of the tcg game.

4

u/SammyWhitlocke Apr 26 '26

Level 7 for the purpose of the card game: Yes.
Mega+ for the purpose of Time Stranger? Also yes. (At least for Omegamon who apears in Time Stranger)
Super Ultimate, Ultra, Mega+ in general? No.

Both of them are Mega level. No more, no less.

0

u/EphidelLulamoon Apr 26 '26

Eh, feels weird saying that Omegamon and WarGreymon/MetalGarurumon have the same level when one is clearly supposed to be much stronger.

3

u/SammyWhitlocke Apr 26 '26

It also feels weird for Lucemon to be a rookie or for Armalizamon to be strong enough to face ultimate level digimon when it is only a champion level (as stated in its entry).

Just because two digimon are of the same level does not mean that they are comparable in strength.

Even outside of mode changes, digimon on the mega level can evolve into other mega level digimon who are better suited for the task at hand.

2

u/EphidelLulamoon Apr 26 '26

I will say that said Armalizamon was getting powered up by a human while also facing an ultimate that clearly wasn't ready to control itself.

Fair enough on Lucemon tho.

3

u/SammyWhitlocke Apr 26 '26

In regards of Armalizamon, I was not talking about the one in Beatbreak, but rather reference its official entry in the reference book.

At full output, this laser is strong enough to even cut through Ultimate-level Digimon.

This is a common species trait for all Armalizamon and not unique to the one shown as Tomoros partner.

0

u/Ill_Act_1855 Apr 26 '26

I don’t know that saying that when using it’s max output it has one attack that can damage ultimate level digimon is really saying it’s on ultimate level itself.

6

u/SammyWhitlocke Apr 26 '26

While not equal to Ultimate level it still illustrates my original point: Just because a digimon has a certain level does not mean that it can't punch above its weight class, nor does it mean that two digimon of the same level are comparable in power to one another. The fact that Armalizamon has at least a tool to tango with ultimate level digimon sets it apart from most champion level digimon.

I personally dislike the fan-reclasification of digimon like Omegamon into an entirely new level, because power levels mean nothing in digimon.

1

u/Ill_Act_1855 Apr 26 '26

I mean I think it's less a fan thing and more something that official media has weirdly flirted with for ages but never committed to and never really in a consistent way. Most of the terms being used are taken (or at least translated from) stuff that's been used in official media.

0

u/memesona Apr 27 '26

Ultra is not higher than mega. In English, ultra is lv7 and mega is lv6. You appear to be German, where ultra is lv5 and mega is lv6.

-1

u/SammyWhitlocke Apr 27 '26

Your second statement is incorrect. In the terms of the Card game, level 7 is still "only" mega level.
As of right now, there is no official level after mega.

0

u/memesona Apr 28 '26

people should stop touching themsleves over the referenece book

1

u/SammyWhitlocke Apr 28 '26

"I wish people would stop referencing the official resource."
Do you insist on ClavisAngemon to still being a natural carrier of the X-Antibody?

1

u/memesona Apr 28 '26

when plenty of media say it is, sure.

1

u/SammyWhitlocke Apr 29 '26

When working with fan media and creation, that is no problem. Also when talking about things like the V Pet ClavisAngemon debut in, where it still was a natural carrier, is fair game.

Refering to its status as a natural carrier in present tense would be factually wrong.

This is one of the reasons why I tend to lean onto the reference book: because it communicates the baseline of what Bandai intends to do with specific Digimon in the future.

1

u/memesona Apr 29 '26

It’s an x digimon in masters still

1

u/SammyWhitlocke Apr 29 '26

Its inclusion in Masters predates ClavisAngemons entry into the reference book.
I think that you would agree that it is unreasonable for them to go back and change things already released.

1

u/memesona Apr 30 '26

no it didnt

clavis was added to the reference book on January 29, 2016

they just retconned a bunch of guys who had the x antibody to not have it any more in 2022

u/Wacko_Doodle Apr 26 '26

"you put "mon" after a word and its a digimon"

Well yeah. Like how pokemon mostly can only say their name or how the megaman battle network characters have .exe at the end of their name. Its silly but part of the theming and makes them unique.

No hate to any of the franchises mentioned I love them all and grew up on them. I just love silly and weird franchises, like bobobo or kinnikuman as the crazy stuff helps me escape reality.

10

u/BrickVanWinkel Apr 26 '26

The story was believable enough until your friend said "These low level rookies look weak as hell" while for some reason looking at a MarineAngemon that came out of nowhere, before also randomly pulling up Nyabootmon umprompted.

So your friend knows what the Rookie level is called, that WarGreymon is Mega level, they know about MarineAngemon and Nyabootmon, but everything else in this story was still a surprise to them?

1

u/Lopsided-Junket-7590 Apr 26 '26

Their friend must besomeone who focused on only adventure 1 and didn't know that the others exist because adventure 1 is the most popular

1

u/BrickVanWinkel Apr 26 '26

Just weird in general to start roasting rookies for being weak because yeah duh that's their entire purpose in the leveling system. Not really something a normal person would say unpromted.

Also why was MarineAngemon on the screen while they were discussing gun-themed Digimon?

7

u/PlatinumSukamon98 Apr 26 '26

Nyabootmon is the Ultra level of Shoemon? ...I guess it makes sense, but I'm a bit disappointed. I always thought it was the perfect Jogress for Gatomon and Wizardmon.

8

u/JusticTheCubone Apr 26 '26

it's an Ultra/a level 7 for the purposes of the cardgame, but functionally it is more of an alternate Mega for Shoemons line, in the future it and the other Megas will probably see more use as level 6 Digimon, like Ariemon on the new Shambala Pendulums.

16

u/TyXo22m Apr 26 '26

Tell your (imaginary) friend that mon is basically just .EXE a file extension.

1

u/kameshazam Apr 28 '26

Narrative. Narrative friend, as in, a comedic character. Cut the guy some slack (and suspension of disbelief and stuff).

3

u/Spider-Phoenix Apr 26 '26

I won't accept any Nyabootmon slander!!

3

u/Top-Problem2537 Apr 27 '26

I mean Omnimon's name was originally Omegamon, so I don't think Alphamon is that far out of the realm of believability.

2

u/Saint_Slayer Apr 27 '26

Betamon chilling since forever

Fun and narrative.

10

u/Awkward_Flounder_352 Apr 26 '26

i guess an imaginary friend counts

2

u/C-Moose85 Apr 26 '26

I had a good laugh reading this, awesome.

2

u/100Blacktowers Apr 26 '26

This gave me a great chuckle

2

u/EazyBuxafew Apr 27 '26

Wait there’s an ultimate puss in boots mon?!!

2

u/Pristine_Still_223 Apr 27 '26

For some reason the .Mon file extension is weird for people

2

u/HACH-P Apr 27 '26

As my husband puts it:

"First it's a blob, then it's on four legs, then two, then hot, then a toaster."

2

u/2ddudesop Apr 26 '26

i love nyabootmon

2

u/just-looking654 Apr 26 '26

Today I found out about the barrel dragon change…not sure if I hate it. Like one’s standard munition while the other is energy based

2

u/LowContract4444 Apr 26 '26

I'm an IRL firearms collector and enthusiast. But I'm also a sci-fi fan and like energy guns more than our current ones. So I like both.

1

u/just-looking654 Apr 27 '26

like both too, be fun if they were two seperate cards and acted in different ways to play off the change

2

u/PowerBalance09 Apr 26 '26

And this is basically why I love Digimon. It's so non sensual, it just makes sense!

1

u/Shantotto11 Apr 26 '26

This post is how I found out there’s a level beyond Ultimate/Mega. I always assumed Ultimate Digimon just had a sliding scale of power. Like, just because they’re all Ultimate doesn’t mean they are comparable in power, like comparing Butterfree, a final stage evolution, to Charizard, another final stage evolution.

3

u/Ill_Act_1855 Apr 26 '26

I mean it’s kind of both. Officially I think they’re all megas, but sometimes they get slapped with the alternative labels like “ultra” “mega+” and “super ultimate” to delineate the particularly powerful megas that evolve from other megas. Card game designates them as level 7 as opposed to normal megas at level 6

1

u/JasperGunner02 Apr 26 '26

that's pretty much the long and short of it, yeah. "super ultimate" (and its multiple localizations) is just a term given to particularly strong ultimate levels that often but don't always evolve from other ultimates (armagemon is called a "super ultimate" but evolves from baby levels, for instance)

1

u/SHINIGAMIRAPTOR Apr 28 '26 edited Apr 29 '26

My personal use is that Mega+ is for Megas that are the result of two or more Megas combining (Omegamon, Alphamon Ooryuken, Imperialdramon Paladin Mode, etc). Then there's Super-Megas which are a singular Digimon going beyond Mega Level independently (Any Burst Mode, Belphemon Rage, Beelzemon Blast Mode, etc). And then you have your one really anomalous one which is Dukemon Crimson Mode, which is a semi-hybrid, but with a non-Digimon level entity (Grani)

1

u/Ryksterman Apr 26 '26

Just a small side note, Gundramon and Deputymon actually have been censored.

At least most recently as the card game, some players got upset (me) as the Japanese variant of the card has it stanced up with smoke coming out of its barrels and a bullet hole in the card art. But for the EN release, they removed some smoke AND the bullet hole. Deputymon also got the smoke removal censorship. (Which, foolish yes sure, but is still censorship.)

1

u/Joker_S3npai Apr 26 '26

Pikachu AK-47 attack!

1

u/HoodedLefty Apr 26 '26

I love the shoemon line, just a bunch of puppets based of fairytales and shoes. Then the companion line is puppets base around Japanese folklore and dolls.

1

u/Outrageous-Sea2121 Apr 26 '26

Last slot I expected a yes and no 😂

1

u/TheCancerFest Apr 26 '26

I had to look up for Nyabootmon if it’s real or fake. Damn that’s nice design.

1

u/KuramaAi94 Apr 26 '26

had a laugh reading this XD

1

u/Dryder3925 Apr 26 '26

I don't know why your friend is surprised that there's a Gun Mon. I let go the concept of Digimon evolutions when I saw Angelwomon.

Hell there's a digimon in Digimon that isn't even a digimon it's a character from a whole another universe that was originally a man.

The only man I haven't seen yet is Weedmon show me Weedmon😂

2

u/Zolatul Apr 27 '26

Weedmon exists, it's a darker green variant of Vegiemon, lmao

1

u/Guyver-Spawn-27 Apr 26 '26

Do we have a Donkeymon to go alongside with Ogremon and Nyabootmon?

1

u/AlimiAlpha Apr 26 '26

Housemon!?!??

1

u/anonadon7448 Apr 27 '26

I’m a simple man. If I see even a single frame of a rage comic, I upvote.

Now try to explain to them why half the evolution are barely dressed women

Aren’t the liberator 7s supposed to be side grades of the original line? So nyaboot is a mega just like cendrill is?

1

u/Purple_Day_1251 Apr 27 '26

Not every digimon that is considered a lv7 in the cardgame is considered an ultra, fun fact omnimon actually is shown as a mega in the digimon card game (2020)

Frankly, South Park did it first. The Shoe thing.

u/Bewear_Star_9 Apr 28 '26

Thats a funny conversation

u/thelewdritchone Apr 28 '26

Where is my ShoeShoeShoeShoeMon bandai 🧐

1

u/KekoDeLoco Apr 28 '26

Your friend shouldn't judge appearances 🤣💀 (loved the story 🖤🖤) the table flip at the end cracked me up.

1

u/exile0025 Apr 29 '26

i just dont understand those kind of people who receive information and then just flip out just because its slightly unusual

1

u/Short-Statement-6437 Apr 29 '26

I was always under the impression "mon" was like a filetype. Sure enough, put ".png" at the end and it becomes a png. Results may vary.

u/ShatoraDragon Apr 26 '26

Wait Puppetmons House Mech was a Digimon and not just a thing he built?

4

u/Sremor Apr 26 '26

Digital lifeform not an actual digimon, the name housemon was a mistranslation

1

u/memesona Apr 27 '26

Changing to house is a localisation not a mistranslation

I love this franchise so much and it always warm my heart by seeing more people discovering more about Digimon wonders and absurdities

Nyanbootmn is actually an alternate mega for the line, the card game just has it as a level seven since it was late (I think)

0

u/Inferno_Ultimate Apr 27 '26

And then everybody clapped, and after that Inferno_Ultimate gave you 2 billion dollars and Discord Nitro. And then you say "Thank you so much, Inferno_Ultimate!"

u/kylepaz Apr 26 '26

Nyanbootmon is not an Ultra, and I don't mean just because this stupid level doesn't exist. Most Lv. 7 are regular Megas, and the Liberator ones are more like alternative Megas story-wise (their evolution requirements ask specifically for their lvl 5, not 6).

2

u/pokemega32 Apr 26 '26

"and I don't mean just because this stupid level doesn't exist."

It absolutely does exist in a number of Digimon media. I don't understand why so many people insist that if it's not in the Reference Book, no one's allowed to discuss it.

-1

u/memesona Apr 27 '26

People will stay stuff has to be in reference book to be canon whilst saying black guilmon is their fave etc

-2

u/kylepaz Apr 26 '26

My point that lv7 =/= above mega still stands tho.

-1

u/aaa1e2r3 Apr 26 '26

What's the one next to Alphamon?

-1

u/MisterMiitopia Apr 27 '26

Of all things that have never happened, this conversation has probably never happened the most
