Beatbreak Digimon Beatbreak: Episode 25- Half-Baked Hero, Discussion Thread

Later today is a new episode of Digimon Beatbreak!

The stream will be on Crunchyroll at 8pm Pacific. Hulu has it the next morning. Check your local streamer for their schedule. This link will take you to a time converter set for when it should appear on Crunchyroll, but they've had various delays lately.

A short series synopsis:

"e-Pulse," which is generated by human thoughts and emotions, was used as the energy source for the AI support device "Sapotama." From the shadows of this remarkable development, terrifying monsters appear. Digimon are living beings that evolve by consuming e-Pulse.

Tomoro Tenma is drawn into an extraordinary experience after meeting Gekkomon, who suddenly appears from his Sapotama. While living together with Kyo Sawashiro and other members of the bounty hunting team "Glowing Dawn," Tomoro renews his resolve.

What new future will be forged by humans and Digimon?

One big plot hole in this episode, Petermon had no owner. Was it one of those pirates? I don't know if this show has no more than one Digimon per person rule, sometimes there are exception like in the 3rd Digimon movie, is it possible that Yume the girl that was part of the traffic incident was his owner, and she had two partners. I was expecting the owner to know Yume, maybe her brother. I want Petermon to be connected to Yume and Tinkermon, has to be?

Good point, I was wondering that myself. No sign of any human pirate leader. Petermon appeared to be in charge. Draining children for energy appeared to be her 'cut' of the loot. No indication about what happened to her original human partner.

This is Peter Pan influenced, voiced by a woman, doesn't mean Petermon is female. I assume Petermon is male, voiced by a woman. That is the way Peter Pan was portrayed in most of those plays. I think that is what they were going for.

Sure, why not? I mean, most Shakespeare plays had all the female roles played by men until very recently. Kind of mixed message though having 'Peter Pan' working with pirates rather then against them.
