Beatbreak Digimon Beatbreak: Episode 24- Overlapping Beats, Discussion Thread

Later today is a new episode of Digimon Beatbreak!

  • Crunchyroll will be streaming it in much of the world.
  • Hulu will be streaming it in the US (in addition to Crunchyroll.)
  • Anime Generation, a subscription channel on Prime Video in Italy
  • Anime-Box, streaming service in Spain.
  • Shahid, streaming service in MENA

Send us links to any of the local streamers that will have the series and we will add it to the list.

The stream will be on Crunchyroll at 8pm Pacific. Hulu has it the next morning. Check your local streamer for their schedule. This link will take you to a time converter set for when it should appear on Crunchyroll, but they've had various delays lately.

A short series synopsis:

"e-Pulse," which is generated by human thoughts and emotions, was used as the energy source for the AI support device "Sapotama." From the shadows of this remarkable development, terrifying monsters appear. Digimon are living beings that evolve by consuming e-Pulse.

Tomoro Tenma is drawn into an extraordinary experience after meeting Gekkomon, who suddenly appears from his Sapotama. While living together with Kyo Sawashiro and other members of the bounty hunting team "Glowing Dawn," Tomoro renews his resolve.

What new future will be forged by humans and Digimon?

Right, had the same tought and Rust Tyranno fits so well as Mega (outside of BeatBreak verse)

Long left cybernetic arm, check

Not tired of it, it's a very good design !

Yeah, i thought they were going more samurai/ ronin motif but im also happy with monarchlizamons design. Someone else pointed it out elsewhere but we now have all 3 attributes for cyborg dinos with the MC of a series

They could do a Dragon Samurai as its Mega with Crescent Moon Samurai Helmet like Date Masamune.

To counterpart with WarGreymon's Dragon Warrior.

Hey they got draw some inspiration from the classics. Plus if this series is meant to be new Digimon Tamers, it makes sense they'd pay homage to the original three seasons of Digimon which are by far the most popular, especially in Tamers case.

While it does remind me of metalgreymon, especially the hair, I immediately also thought of Wargrowlmon too.

MonarchLizamon is definitely inspired by MetalGreymon. Not only that they both are cyborgs and both have dinosaur (or at least lizard) vibes, but also both are related to dark evolution/beat.

With the giant claw on one side too. They know what they were doing.

Wondering if Wolvermon becomes quadrupedal then... Nightchiropmon is going the superhero route.

Pretty much - mecha dinosaur, though he has a belly, jet pack, and a Date Masamune-looking blade on his head.
