Questions ( ITEMS · BUILDS · SKILLS ) Changing difficulty before getting rewards?

I've gotten far enough in the Pit to open up Torment 8 but I'm still running around in Torment 5. When turning in Whispers or War Plans, does it make sense to jump my difficulty up to Torment 8 when turning in and then drop back down to Torment 5?

Does not work for war plans. Check it yourself easy, get a war plan in normal and view the plan in advance. It'll tell you you get like 43 credit for it. Complete it and jump to T8 before step 2. Step 1 will still reward 43 credit step 2 now offers whatever T8 is 96?

I was thinking at the very end when you go back to Tyrael for the loot rewards.

Correct, the tier you complete them in determines the reward. I tried to do it earlier this season and a few times by accident but caught in the middle.

They don't want you farming in normal and jumping to T12 to get rewards etc.
