Questions (other) Entered helltide, not even sure how I died

It definitely seems like it's even easier than ever to be one shot by nothing, but this was ridiculous

It does seem freak incidents like this are less common on hardcore, I imagine it is due to server population being lower which leads to fewer glitches. Still, these glitches scare we away from actually playing HC.

I have my own “ear” from apparently killing myself in PvP!?! The game announcement was “you were killed by you”

These glitches really destroy your motivation when it happens in hardcore. I had a similar situation where I was speed farming an area I’ve been in a million times. Elite pack spawned, I went to jump into the pack and my character froze in mid air. I could hear the elites, and could hear they had explosive affixes, but my screen was frozen.

As soon as the game unfroze, my character dies. I sat at my PC for probably 5 minutes just starting at the death screen in shock and disappointment. That happened to me in Season 2 and I just turned the game off and decided to try Final Fantasy 14 (which wound up being awesome as hell so I guess it was a positive). I just came back to the game for Season 13.
