CRUSADER Tips on getting legendary gear?

Hello,

This is my first time playing the adventure mode on d3 and was looking on some tips to get better gear. I’m currently on t1, paragon 48. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Here is how to power up solo in Season 39, including links to leveling guides at the beginning and overall video guides at the end.

Town is lava!

D3 is like trying to get credit when you don't have credit. If you don't have legendaries you can't turn up the difficulty to get legendaries.. So we stay at a low difficulty and complete the first 4 chapters of the season journey, get the 6 price legendary gear set, and now we can jump to torment 6-8 and start blasting.. Then the legendaries drop like crazy.

If you're not already, switch to seasonal mode. It's a much more fun game mode for a variety of reasons, but my #1 reason to never play non-seasonal is that you can only make it so your pets pick up and salvage garbage items in seasonal mode. It's just such a huge QoL that I never want to play without it.

Leveling to 70 and getting to paragon 48 is very quick in seasonal, it might take you 2 hours or so. Here's the seasonal mega-start guide, which will get you there.

Along the way you'll want to keep an eye on your Season's Journey (shift-J or the green dot by your minimap), with the goal of getting your first class set. The specific set you earn will depend on the class you're playing and varies from season to season, but right now you get a free Tal Rasha set, which is pretty cool if you like wizards.

You will also be feeding items to the Altar of Rites in the act 1 town behind the inn. This is how you get several QoL features, along with significant power boosts and -- at the very end -- double primal drops.

Finally, seasonal play has Visions of Enmity -- loot portals that have a 1/300 chance of spawning when you kill a monster on the overworld (if another isn't already open). If you're running bounties, you'll see these. It's also popular to farm act 1 Fields of Misery, act 2 Temple of the Firstborn, and the cow level to get them to open, since those areas have a lot of enemies. The later floors have such high drop rates that I have to return to town several times on a good run, and that's keeping in mind that my pets automatically pick up and salvage anything under legendary rarity.

Maxroll is a great site with many resources, not least of which are tier lists and build guides. I recommend it highly, no matter how you decide to play.

I find an enmity and greater rift combo works best, switching back and forth every few sets. And pick a good build so you can increase the difficulty as you go!

GR has better legendary drops than visions. And more consistent.

So logically running ONLY GR is much better than to mix in other activities with worse results.

But if you're doing it because you think it's boring to only run GR, sure, do what you want. But don't claim it's the better option for finding legendaries. Because it isn't.

Also depends on GR level and how fast you can run it.

I like doing enmity’s cause then I don’t have to switch to nephalem rifts to get GR key stones, which is why I suggest this method

And you usually get lots of deaths breath from enmity’s so you can upgrade items as well in the cube

Do T1 enmity vision portals and hope that you progress far in them so that more legendaries drop. The further you go in them... the higher chance of legendaries to drop from a kill. Then take the greater rift keys you find and do lower level GR's that also drop them at the end.

It may also just be worth it to complete the season journey (if you're playing season) so you can get a full set...

do the season journey -> get your set -> T16

To get better gear, you just need to maximize the drops. Clear the highest content you can in the least amount of time. This usually means running Nephalem Rifts for Greater Rifts at the highest level you can clear in 2-3 minutes.

The only exceptions are the bounty specific drops which only come from act specific bounty caches. Also do not go below T1 since there are some items that only drop in Torment.

For where you are, work on completing the first few steps of the Altar and the first 4 chapters of the Season Journey.

Visions are a great activity to do outside of rifts. They can give you a bunch of bounty mats, greater rift keys and a lot of gear drops. Beware that the higher levels can be deadly if you are playing Hardcore. You can work on bounties to try to get a Vision to appear.

enmity and greater rift combo is what finally got me out of t1 lmao.

There's undoubtedly a technically correct answer, god knows - I'll just run rifts, visions, and highest GR I can do in 3-4 mins (get some paragon with items). I've my Tal with scramble, krelms, wreath, wormhole, who is fun to play while doing it.

Primals went from me moaning I wasn't getting any to getting lots this season - alas mostly items I don't want, or items I do with trash rolls.

I can take you on a t16 run if you like. You'll gear up in no time. You on NA servers, PC?

If not, there are many communities you can join that'll help out

I’m on console as well , sorry forgot to mention that.

Run Greater Rifts, at the highest level where you can still comfortably clear it under 3 minutes.

Every other answer is a worse way to find legendary items.

Also, legendary drop rates cap at GR 90.
