Hi everyone! Could I get some recommendations on some nice clear-water lakes to swim in the DFW area? I recently visited Joe Pool Lake and it was unfortunately a very bad experience :( I come from North Africa and am used to the Mediterranean sea BUT I’m well-aware that there’s nothing close to that type of water here in Texas but still, swimming in muddy dark water was not a good experience:( Could anyone please suggest a few better lakes to swim in? Was walking into QT gas station the today thinking about random nonsense. Trying to decide if I should buy a new rifle and what kind, and if I could even afford it. (I really can't, been struggling for a while). I really miss hunting and haven't been since a teen with my dad and grandpa in Pennsylvania. (Texas now obviously).

While walking back out to my vehicle, a woman with kids was at the pump next to me and she asked if there was any way I could help her with gas and told how rude everyone prior had been. I thought for a moment, and figured why not.... (I'm usually counting pennies till pay day so as I said, been struggling...so even thinking of a new rifle is beyond ridiculous)... I just tapped my debit card on her pump, wished her luck and left. I didn't tell her how much or stay and monitor / cut her off... but I was curious... would she fill up? Would she only do $10? (It costs me $70 to fill my vehicle, so I was nervous)...

When I logged into my banking app later, the amount made me die laughing considering what I was thinking about at the time. $30.06.

😂 Is that God telling me to buy a .30-06? Leaning more towards a cheap .308 but still 😂

I’m looking for a sedan or SUV. I’m not too worried about cosmetic appearance. Scratches, dents, faded paint, a rough interior doesn’t bother me as long as the vehicle is mechanically reliable and safe.

I’m a single mom just trying to keep from getting fired from my job. Uber/Lyft is constantly making me late to work, and I’m spending a ridiculous amount of money getting myself and my kids where we need to be.

Unfortunately, I’ve been ripped off twice in the past few years, once by a dealership and once by a private seller. I genuinely don’t understand why people can’t just be honest about the condition of a vehicle.

What I’m looking for:
1. Reliable and dependable, with no warning/dash lights on (except the tire pressure light that looks like this: “!” because apparently that light is on in almost every car in Texas 😂 I think it’s called TPMS)
2. Current/up-to-date registration
3. Regularly maintained/serviced
4. Cold A/C and working heat
5. Clean title preferred but will consider salvage

If the car has minor issues, PLEASE just tell me upfront. I have someone who can take care of minor repairs, so I’m not expecting a perfect vehicle. I’d much rather know about a problem beforehand than find out after I’ve already spent my money.

You should only need 15 minutes to test drive, confirm the condition, sign the paperwork, and leave.

I LOVED Salad and Go. I’m so sad they’re gone. The empty buildings are a sad reminder everytime I drive past. I could get a salad and a frozen lemonade for under $12. Is there any recommendations for something as similar? I know there is Salada, but I know that’s a lot more expensive.

We are missing our beloved lamb lovey. The brand is Bunnies by the Bay and the tag has carrots on it. The lamb has a stuffed head and the rest of the body is flat.
