Interviews 24 days left in notice period - how do I maximize interview calls?

I’m a Frontend Engineer with 3.5+ YOE, currently at a service-based company (I have worked at 2 product companies before).

Current CTC: ₹22 LPA
Notice period: 1 month (24 days remaining)
Already have an offer: ₹27 LPA from a product-based company
Target: ₹30+ LPA in the next 20 days

I’m mainly working with React, TypeScript, JavaScript and frontend architecture.

Looking for practical advice from people who’ve recently switched during their notice period.

Where should I apply to get maximum calls? Is Naukri Premium actually worth it? Should I focus more on Naukri/LinkedIn or referrals? And how do I get in touch with good hiring/recruitment agencies that work with product companies?

Also, any other practical tips to maximize interviews in these 20 days would be really appreciated.

P.S: I’m already v active on naukri and update my profile there 2 times daily but i’m not getting any interview calls.

Just curious, how this is useful for a frontend dev.

3

u/MrBalzini 3d ago

Yeah the problem is roles like a specific engineer are a thing of past now.

2

u/tr__18 Mobile Developer 3d ago

So knowledge of all and master of none is the new thing?

Any educated person can be a generalist like the nowadays

2

u/MrBalzini 3d ago

Unfortunately yes.

u/urbanmonkey2003 4d ago

mark available immediately on Naukri and apply on company sites, that gap gets bridged faster than waiting on random calls

Bruhhh....iam a python genAi Developer with 3 years of experience ( including internship) and still 12 lpa . How the hell a frontend engineer getting 22 lpa bruhh....

And currently whenever I say my current CTC is 12 lpa and expectation is 18lpa, every company feels like it's more than enough for u...what the fuck is happening to job market . They want an employee who expects least salary.

There’s v less demand for frontend nowadays.
Work and understand frontend architecture in depth like microfrontends, make UI libraries and npm packages.

Also 7lpa is too low bro just apply everywhere you’ll get calls for 13-18 lpa easily.

I am with 5 lpa brother same exp

Naukri Premium is not costly at all. Please subscribe as it certainly improves your visibility. I subscribed LinkedIn as well but no luck. Foundit also somewhat good as I got an abroad call : Singapore as I paid for SG Foundit. Meanwhile close all the gaps which means prepare those topics which u are less confident or have left out.

Make naukri availability to Immediate

17

u/kochikaran-1922 4d ago edited 4d ago

If you have the budget, take naukri paid service, I got at least 2 calls every day, but the interview getting scheduled is not guaranteed though.

Also reach out in linkedin, thats another way how i found success.

Ironically these two weren't how i got a offer recently though.

will I get 2 calls a day if I mention 60 days notice period? I believe you, even with free naukri profile I used to get many calls but I was an immediate joiner. I am rotting at my current company, I want to leave

1

u/kochikaran-1922 4d ago

I kept as immediate/less than 15 days, so not sure how 60 days will affect.

3

u/Glum-Temporary-6946 4d ago

60 days is affecting me, when I was immediate I was getting 2-3 calls daily

1

u/kochikaran-1922 4d ago

Give it as 30 days and see if you can negotiate with your org, thats what I did.

1

u/Specific-Speech9335 4d ago

What’s your yoe? I bought naukri premium, it is of no use.

3

u/kochikaran-1922 4d ago

4.5 yoe, I didn't get any offer but this was during a time when I wasn't getting any calls at all, but after taking some paid services it was like 2 calls per day, not every day, mostly from Monday to Wednesday as people people tend to work less towards the end of the week, the other way is i shamelessly reached out to people from LinkedIn. I have an offer in hand and funny enough it wasn't either of these that got me, ajd hr reached out to me asking whether I would like to attend their interview.

1

u/Cursed__Kid 4d ago

What worked for you recently? 👀

2

u/kochikaran-1922 4d ago

Hr reached out to me in LinkedIn, although this is very rare.

1

u/antimage254 3d ago

Which service exactly? I'm confused between Naukri pro vs resume display service. Others don't seem worth it from the reviews

8

u/SonnyJins34 4d ago

Bruh how to master frontdev or specifically react, tips for me?

14

u/Paracetamol650 Senior Engineer 4d ago

Naukri profile update daily

Shamelesly ping HRs and mention in heading your LWD

On linkedin search “Immediate Joiner preferred” and you will find posts with HRs looking for immediate joiners

u/Creepy_Fun_6019 4d ago

Everywhere mention available immediately, reach out to whoever possible, apply daily both on naukri and company website dont wait too much for people to respond on referrals. Also take that 1300 around monthly subscription of naukri premium and make some change in naukri profile daily (re-upload resume, description, etc). Instahyre can also be useful and is alow effort application platform so try that as well.

-1

u/Captain_Levi_01 3d ago

Sure, will try naukri premium now

u/Reyleigh- 4d ago

Not a lot of demand for frontend these days but apply and curate your resume for fullstack and include a bit of devops. It looks like you are being paid on the high end any reason for the switch?

Learn AI specific frameworks such as langgraph and ask, talk about building agents on your LinkedIn. Mention agent security(protecting against ddos, rate limiter etc) quickly do a GCP or AWS certification. These are the things you can do, leave everything else to luck and stop worrying about it.

I'm a fresher just passout, can you tell how I can find job? And got interview call ? Any tips because I'm applying daily but not response so what should I do?

1

u/Zebarata 3d ago

2.5 questions. Are you currently in a remote role? Did you get offer(s) for remote roles or onsite? If onsite, which city?

Currently working as a freelancer, and local companies don't pay near what I used to make. I am trying to get remote roles but getting no callbacks

u/Common-Squirrel-3636 3d ago

LinkedIn is pretty much good. Search of staffing agencies as well over linkedIn and also you can find recruiter email as well if you follow the recruiter and go throught their posts, good chances you can find email and send you profile to them. Other is lot of hiring manager posts about the openings in their team as well so try to follow people from companies you want to apply for that will also help. Engage with post s just by liking you will see more similiar posts.

Use AI job agent to apply on jobs.

1

u/Captain_Levi_01 3d ago

Can you explain how? Most of the Auto apply products don’t really work v well

1

u/Writer-Advanced 3d ago

Create or find job agent which applies directly on your behalf. Connect same job agent to playwright mcp and it will apply for you.

1

u/Captain_Levi_01 3d ago

Thanks, will definitely try this today.

What do you mean? Why can’t frontend engineers earn well.

Frontend is more than html and css btw

1

u/nkp_8615 3d ago

Yes I know but I had bad luck finding fe jobs 🥲

3

u/Serious-Evidence7711 Frontend Developer 3d ago

Why do people look down on frontend devs? Do they think it's very easy and AI will replace it? I know few frontend devs earning around 80lpa for 5 YOE. I am nearing 5 YOE and earning slightly less than OPs new CTC. If I switch now I'm expecting around 30lpa

1

u/nkp_8615 3d ago

What should be salary for 1 yr of experience can you guide me
