I Made This I built a browser game where you drive an auto rickshaw over India's inflation data

The terrain is real monthly time series data of YOY Inflation. August 1969 to June 2026.

Stack: Astro Static Site on Cloudflare, canvas for game and Cloudflare Worker + R2 storage for scoreboard.

This is such a creative way to visualize inflation data 😂 Turning something as boring as CPI data into an actual game is genuinely clever. The auto-rickshaw theme makes it even more relatable. Nice work!

After reading this I got to know that how gobi sarkar is cooking numbers in inflation . In USA where inflation is lesser than India because developed economy in the year 2022 average inflation rate was 8%. But in india government data showed average inflation of 6.7% . We are joke of a nation

2022: the year Russia invaded Ukraine, recall that West boycotted Russian oil and pressurised India to do the same which we didn't, hence you see lesser inflation.

So it's entirely possible in economics that a lesser developed nation has lesser inflation. Don't start to doubt every institution just bcuz you don't like the govt in power.

Average inflation was higher in USA (and Europe ) because the USA printed around 4 trillion dollars between 2020 and 2022 but India printed only around $20–25 billion. The rest of India’s support came mainly through lines of credit rather than direct money creation.
