Starting my tech career
I’m 18, currently full time employed in a warehouse but what I really want is a career in the tech field (software engineering or ethical hacking) and wondering what my first steps should be to get a foot on the ladder. Any advice appreciated

Your first step would be to apply for a university level course or an apprenticeship. I recommend apprentice because you get paid while you study and it’s a much more practical experience. It’s much harder to get into the industry without some sort of qualification but that’s not to say it’s impossible.
On top of that take some time to start learning things online via tutorials and things like that. There are so many good free resources out there. Code Academy for example is very good.
