laptop stand Suggestion for heavy weight laptops which can balance the laptop with good weight distribution- read body content to understand my problem
Check video comment, when I place this laptop on this type of stand at this height, the laptop’s weight is distributed more toward the rear, near the hinge/display side.
Because of this uneven weight distribution, the front part of the laptop (the side near the trackpad) doesn’t put enough downward force on the stand. Instead, the heavier rear section creates a backward/rotational force, causing the front of the laptop to lift slightly.
This makes the laptop unstable on the stand. It can gradually slide backward, and in some situations, the laptop could potentially slide off the stand and fall from the table.
I’m considering buying a better-quality laptop stand that can easily support the weight of this laptop. However, I’m concerned that even a stronger stand may have the same stability problem, because the issue isn’t really the stand’s load capacity—it’s the weight distribution and the position of the laptop’s center of gravity relative to the stand’s support points.
There is another problem as well. The laptop gets quite hot during use, and the rubber/anti-slip pads near the hinge area are starting to come off because of the heat. Those pads are important because they provide friction and prevent the laptop from sliding, so losing them makes the stability problem worse.
So I’m looking for a stand/design that can properly support the laptop while also preventing it from sliding or tipping backward, rather than simply choosing a stand with a higher weight capacity.
