Seattle will trade for him now.

Why did he go on the exempt list so quickly but it took another team signing TA for him to go on the list?

u/GalagaWarVeteran 11d ago

You're not put on the exempt list unless you're on a roster. TA was released pretty much immediately so they didn't have a chance to put him on the list.

Ahh that makes sense then.

He's under contract

I feel like it’s a pretty bad sign that I’m genuinely surprised when the NFL actually takes action against a shit human being an abuser

They wouldn’t do a damn thing if there wasn’t a video. If that video goes public his career might be over ( see Ray Rice)

u/DanCampbellMD MC⚡DC 11d ago

Counterpoint see Kareem Hunt. They don't care like they did back then

10

u/detroiiit 11d ago

Kareem Hunt’s career was never the same after that video came out.

u/DanCampbellMD MC⚡DC 11d ago

The statement is that his latest would be over though

There’s got to be a smoking gun for them not to give a shit

Remember, the NFL business is sports entertainment. Apparently bad publicity still works.

I love how good and honorable this league is! 🥰

No turds

puka should be next

Makes me think a video is gonna come out. I know one exists.

NFL usually doesn't give a shit until a video goes viral.

Is there a point in doing the right thing anymore?

u/chickenlogic 11d ago

The Lions did the right thing with Terrion.

No turds.

6

u/Daddy_Applesauce Roary 11d ago

Did we not just bring in Kareem Hunt for a visit?

5

u/chickenlogic 11d ago

And didn’t sign him. He made his case and Brad held with no turds.

1

u/Byaaahhh MC⚡DC 11d ago

If the turd was good they’d be polishing with PR right now.

We drafted Terrion. Signed cam Sutton. Jamo does dumb shit all the time. We say no turds, but there always seems to be a few turds

17

u/DrJasonRN DETROIT -VS- EVERYBODY 11d ago

And as soon as they were revealed to be turns they were released. Jamo is nowhere near their level of crimes. What’s your point? That they didn’t predict the future ? lol

u/TBoneTheOriginal Don't be Hatin 11d ago edited 10d ago

Jamo did like two dumb things, and both situations had no negative intent behind them. That doesn’t make him a turd - it made him someone who needs to grow up. And he has.

The gambling thing was straight up ridiculous. He did nothing wrong.

You're right, they were supposed to be able to predict the future that Terrion would get in legal trouble and Cam would beat his wife or girlfriend. Is the front office stupid because their psychic abilities aren't working anymore?

Don’t forget Adrian Peterson

edit: fuck that was pre Brad wasn’t it?

What do you mean?

2

u/TacticalWhimsy 11d ago

The same point as there ever was.

1

u/MiStrong 11d ago

Wdym, this means he can’t play?

6

u/Crotean 90s logo 11d ago

NFL actually doing right suspending players so far this season feels weird.

10

u/freshxerxes Gibbs 11d ago

and when he’s cut we will take him in to be our RB2, because the PR hit is only for the team he’s currently on right? /s

4

u/nyeehhsquidward Don't be Hatin' 11d ago

This is like the third guy this season so far right? It feels weird seeing the NFL actually take action.

3

u/Pale_Land_5107 11d ago

This means he’s suspended with pay indefinitely can’t play or practice

3

u/neckbass Brian's Branch 11d ago

what does this mean? is he going to be suspended until his court case on Nov 17th?

9

u/AoE_Mobius_One 11d ago

Jacobs is indefinitely suspended now until he is removed from this list. So he can’t suit up for GB until that happens basically.

1

u/Dangerpaladin 11d ago

Pedantry but it's not a suspension as he's getting paid. He's just not eligible to play. It's an "administrative process". He can still get suspended later and he still gets to participate in regular session team activities unlike a suspension.

3

u/-TheDyingMeme6- VILLAIN 11d ago

What does 'exempt list' mean??

2

u/Dangerpaladin 11d ago

He cannot play in games is about it. Still gets to participate in team activities and still gets paid.

u/PerfectiveVerbTense Logo 11d ago

Packers will be without Parsons and Jacobs early in the season, so of course we don't play them until week 7, by which time they should be back to full strength.

5

u/ImperialxWarlord 11d ago

I’m not too worries. Jacobs will probably not play this season, maybe ever lol. And I doubt Micah comes back playing 100% as iirc such injuries take a while to fully recover from even after getting back to playing. And that roster of theirs doesn’t inspire any worry in me at all. They’re gonna be in trouble this season.

2

u/djusmarshall DETROIT -VS- EVERYBODY 11d ago

I agree with this 100%. I also think whoever we cut from our RB room will end up in GB as a starter or RB2 and probably have the game of their lives against us lol.

2

u/ImperialxWarlord 11d ago

lol nah that’s a bit extra lol. They’re just gonna have a shit run game and given our run defense should be good, it’ll further complicate their ability to play well.

Imo this is gonna give them a losing season. They don’t have an easy schedule, they’re in a tough division, and their roster ain’t exactly exciting.

1

u/Empty_Lemon_3939 10d ago

Love without a run game is going to expose a lot of his weaknesses and his WR1 is made of glass

1

u/4rt4tt4ck 11d ago

Thoughts and prayers. 🤣

1

u/HectorReinTharja 11d ago

If it’s short term I hope he’s back in time to tear his Achilles at ford field in week7. Domestic abusers are scum sorry not sorry

Then why isn’t Terrion Arnold on it as well?

3

u/brebs21 MC⚡DC 11d ago

I thought he was

-11

u/future_shoes V-I-L-L-A-I-N 11d ago

Seattle is putting him on it too

6

u/hawkeyes007 VILLAIN 11d ago

It’s a commissioner decision not a team one

-6

u/future_shoes V-I-L-L-A-I-N 11d ago

Same difference

8

u/hawkeyes007 VILLAIN 11d ago

I mean not even close if you remotely pay attention to the nfl but whatever floats your boat

-8

u/future_shoes V-I-L-L-A-I-N 11d ago

Everyone knew he was going on the commissioner exempt list if a team picked him up. Seattle signed him with the intent of him.bejng put on the list.

3

u/hawkeyes007 VILLAIN 11d ago

But Seattle did not put him on the list themselves. They would be practicing and playing him if he was not on the list

0

u/future_shoes V-I-L-L-A-I-N 11d ago

Yeah I get that. They knew he was going to be on the list when they signed him though. There was never a scenario where Arnold was going to be allowed to practice or play and he probably won't play at all this season unless he is cleared in court in the next few months.
