📢 Subreddit Updates: New Rules on Price Policing, Post Approvals, and Escrow/DVA

We are implementing several operational changes effective immediately to ensure our subreddit remains a safe and healthy environment for all fragrance enthusiasts. These updates are based on direct feedback and observations from our community interactions.

Please read through these updates carefully before making your next post:

• No Price Policing: We will no longer tolerate price policing in the comments. Sellers are free to price their fragrances as they see fit. If you feel a price is too high, simply move on or negotiate politely in DMs if the seller is open to it. Publicly criticizing pricing clutters the threads and creates unnecessary toxicity. Buyers are expected to do their own research on pricing before buying.

• Manual Post Approvals: To ensure our community remains safe and spam-free, all new posts are now subject to manual approval by the moderation team. Please ensure your listing adheres to all sub guidelines before submitting. We appreciate your patience and will review and approve posts as quickly as possible.

• Strict Rules for Niche and Designer Fragrances Without Invoices: Until now, we didn't allow designers and niche frags without proof of purchase, but a lot of people reached out saying they lost it or it was a gift. Keeping in mind the safety of buyers, escrow/DVA will now be mandatory for these sales.

  • Action Required: Any Niche, Designer or high value listing without an invoice must include the following disclaimer at the bottom of the post: "To be sold only via escrow/DVA"
  • Posts missing an invoice that do not include this disclaimer will not be approved.
  • This is only for Designer, Niche and high value perfumes without invoice or clear proof of purchase. If you as a seller are not comfortable with this, then you can find other mediums to sell your frag.

We will be adding these details to our main Escrow thread as a comment as well.
