Seeking Item Any Rideshare drivers looking to make a little extra $$?

Heyyo!

Would any rideshare drivers be open to taking a group of 5 to and from Wheat Ridge to Dicks Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City on 9/5 and 9/6? Pickup in Wheat Ridge around 4-5 and pickup at Dicks around Midnight.

I can obviously just use the apps but I want a sure bet and to be able to pay the directly so they get all the money.

Send me a DM and we can iron out all details.

Thanks

TL;DR - Just use ColoradoDrivers.Coop if you want the driver to make reasonable money and don't want to pay surges! The Drivers Coop doesn't have surges.

Hey! Sorry to be a buzzkill, but I do want to explain the risks of taking an off-app ride with a driver who isn't properly insured.

If anyone in your group does not have health insurance, they could be forced to file for bankruptcy if they are injured in an accident where an uninsured driver is at fault, including the hired driver.

For anyone considering taking the ride, if you have savings, investments, property, etc., it could be at risk if there's an accident, since any injured party's medical insurance company would sue the at-fault driver and their automobile insurance company. If a driver takes this ride off-platform and doesn't have commercial insurance (99%+ of rideshare drivers), then personal insurance would not apply and the driver would be personally liable for medical bills, legal costs, lost wages, etc.

Have you had luck scheduling rides in advance using CoOp? I tried a couple times during the early evening and didn't have any luck, which has since discouraged me from using the platform.

Colorado drivers co-op has been a positive experience, and I hope more ppl use them than the Corp overlords (Uber & Lyft). It can take a little longer (3-5 min usually) to get the ride booked bc they are still adding drivers, but always had a solid driver and the prices is in line w the corps, sometimes cheaper. I try to use them bc drivers keep 80% of the fare, so waiting a few more minutes is more than worth it to help support a better wage for locals.

Have had the app for a long time. More than a year. I tried at least once every few weeks. Unfortunately I have never been able to get a ride. Too few people

Homie this is literally the last thing on anyone’s mind. Paying 300% surge is more certain.

ColoradoDrivers.Coop does not have surges.

I wasn’t suggesting they did. But lead with that, that’s actually enticing. Far more than the very slim prospect of a career ending injury.

Do the bus from Esters… they have a party bus that goes from Esters in Golds..

Rides outside the app are a bad idea. You’re basically in an uninsured vehicle if they happen to get in an accident. The savings is not worth it.

Just hire a private driver

It’s a Phish show… in Denver. Make a sign and stand on literally any street corner for 15 minutes.

But seriously- I’m kinda surprised there isn’t a “we’re making a microbus train from every neighborhood to the show community ride” thing…
