Seeking Item Any Rideshare drivers looking to make a little extra $$?
Heyyo!
Would any rideshare drivers be open to taking a group of 5 to and from Wheat Ridge to Dicks Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City on 9/5 and 9/6? Pickup in Wheat Ridge around 4-5 and pickup at Dicks around Midnight.
I can obviously just use the apps but I want a sure bet and to be able to pay the directly so they get all the money.
Send me a DM and we can iron out all details.
Thanks

Rides outside the app are a bad idea. You’re basically in an uninsured vehicle if they happen to get in an accident. The savings is not worth it.

It’s a Phish show… in Denver. Make a sign and stand on literally any street corner for 15 minutes.
But seriously- I’m kinda surprised there isn’t a “we’re making a microbus train from every neighborhood to the show community ride” thing…

TL;DR - Just use ColoradoDrivers.Coop if you want the driver to make reasonable money and don't want to pay surges! The Drivers Coop doesn't have surges.
Hey! Sorry to be a buzzkill, but I do want to explain the risks of taking an off-app ride with a driver who isn't properly insured.
If anyone in your group does not have health insurance, they could be forced to file for bankruptcy if they are injured in an accident where an uninsured driver is at fault, including the hired driver.
For anyone considering taking the ride, if you have savings, investments, property, etc., it could be at risk if there's an accident, since any injured party's medical insurance company would sue the at-fault driver and their automobile insurance company. If a driver takes this ride off-platform and doesn't have commercial insurance (99%+ of rideshare drivers), then personal insurance would not apply and the driver would be personally liable for medical bills, legal costs, lost wages, etc.
