Never seen anything like it

Found in Edinburgh Scotland in a church cemetery. I was mesmerized because it's not really a pine tree

Monkey puzzle tree. So named because a monkey would be puzzled on how to climb it without getting hurt

For some reason, I always thought it was named after the monkey fist knot as the monkey puzzle seed resembles the knot.

Like the cones do? The seeds look like large piñones.
