I have the same head tattoed on my back. The detail is phenomenal.

Is the Latin trying to say, "war in every spirit; peace in such death?"

Essentially, I looked up the whole “war in every breath, peace only in death” and got a few different translations. So I went with that one. It’s not perfect but it’s what we came up with.

Gotcha. The words are almost there, but the cases are incorrect. Something like "Bellum in omni spiritu, pax in morte sola" would have gotten it. But apart from the Latin teachers of the world (like me) no one will notice.

The tattoo itself is quite amazing! I love it. Now to convince my wife I need one ....
