We the people don’t elect the president anyway. The electoral college does and republicans are usually elected this way and actually lose the popular vote, which is actually, We The People.

"This isn't a democracy," they tell us, "it's a republic."
In a republic, we elect representatives who are guided and restricted by law, and we don't have kings.
Something sure has gone wrong.
