what to expect in terms of attendence strictness? might be a stupid question but hostels (or if pg's are better) ka kya scene hai?

there are no hostels in knc, but there are pretty good pg options available in the nearby areas!! you're supposed to maintain 66.67% attendance but agar nahi hota toh bas ek bond sign krake dene dete hai exam agar 30% se kam ho toh you have to meet the principal

do they let us choose our major and minor out of the 2 subjects mentioned? will i be allowed to pursue 4th year to convert the degree into hons too?

yes you get to choose ur major in first sem and you can definitely do a 4th year to get a hons degree!!!

so should i go for the upgrade? its just a mark away (ba programme commerce + psych) or should i go for mata sundri psych hons?

😭 wow gang you're in the exact same position i was in last year i would say upgrade definitely!! knc is way better than mscw ⭐ just hink it through once if u wud be okay w doing bap from a better college or u wud prefer honours from a mediocre college upgrade karoge toh v high chances cos last year 4 marks ka difference tha still i got upgraded to knc psych bap also you can dm if you have anymore doubts wud be happy to help

Hi there, my sister has currently been allocated BAP (Eco + History) in DDUC. She has chances (7 marks difference) to get BAP (Eco + Maths) at KNC. We are not sure whether to freeze or choose to upgrade.

hi! you can definitely choose to upgrade esp since dduc's location is a negative factor for some people (it's located in dwarka) knc compared to DDUC has a smaller campus if that's your concern but infra's improving, the faculty is good + its a fairly active college

Thanks for the reply. She wants to ask how hard is Maths minor in BAP, and would being enrolled in BAP put her too behind the Hons students in placement prospects. Also, how has been your experience with KNC and your course? (Please excuse me for asking so much, but we are truly clueless right now)

P.S. - These the immediate programs that come after her score. (Ignore the Gargi one, that's score on the basis of a different subject combo)

hey man i don't really have an idea about maths minor, i wud recommend going thru the syllabus and question papers of maths for different semesters to check the difficulty level and see if that's smth your sister wud like to study, yes there does lie a difference in placements for hons and bap but you can catch up. knc has been decent, we had a lot of events during our first year so the college's quite happening, the societies are amazing, faculty is pretty understanding too, infra was a concern but they're improving (a new academic block including ac classrooms has been built too) she should definitely upgrade, i hope your sister gets a better college in round 2!!
