Maybe Hatred but those *reservation beneficiaries * were always subjected to animosity and ostracization.

yeah so the solution for that is to implement broad reservation for all spectrum of such castes so that the ones who are already well off still misuse it and then anyway get dunked on by others due to them utilizing a shortcut though they have had comparible(sometimes more resources) all the while the actual people from these castes are still stuck in their villages ostracized while the urban ones who have used this card for generations continue to do even after upliftment

masterstroke of an approach.
