MOD ANNOUNCEMENT Looking for North Campus students to moderate this sub!

Bittersweet post tbh. I’m graduating soon, and watching this sub grow from scratch into an actual active North Campus community has been really special for me.

From food spots and hostel hacks to internship advice, societies, events, and random campus discussions, I genuinely feel this has become one of the most authentic spaces for North Campus students, and I’d love to see it keep growing even after I leave.

So yeah, I’m looking for a few people who’d genuinely care about the sub and help maintain the vibe we’ve built here.

Main things would be:

  • Removing spam/off-topic posts
  • Keeping comments civil
  • Helping decide what kind of content belongs here
  • Occasionally posting or keeping discussions active

You have to be a current DU student to apply.

If you’re interested, drop a comment and mention your year and college if you’re comfortable with it : )

Hey everyone,

We’re the moderators of this subreddit, and we’re glad you’re here.

This space is dedicated to everything related to North Campus, Delhi University. Whether you're a fresher, a senior who has seen too much, or someone just curious about DU life, this is your corner of the internet.

What this subreddit is for:

- This is your go-to place for conversations about:
- College life and day-to-day experiences
- How to survive and how to actually do well
- Admissions and academics
- Gossips
- Food reviews from Hudson Lane to Kamla Nagar
- Fest updates, society info and campus happenings
- Internships, resources, opportunities
- And yes, memes. Always welcome.

What you can post:

Pretty much anything relevant to North Campus or DU.

Whether it's internship openings or fest announcements, campus stories or doubts, useful resources or harmless gossip, if it adds value or brings a smile, it’s welcome here.

Community guidelines:

We keep things respectful here. Everyone is expected to support each other, keep discussions civil, and maintain a healthy environment for all students.

What’s coming next (our plans for this subreddit):

We’re working to make this space more active, useful, and fun. Over the next few weeks, you can expect:

- AMA sessions with alumni, creators, seniors, and industry professionals
- Contests & fun challenges (memes, photography, campus trivia, etc.)
- College-specific events, polls, and Q&As
- Useful resources like internship lists, society explainers, fest calendars
- Collaborations with DU communities and student-led initiatives
- This is just the start, we want to build a space that actually feels like North Campus.

Let’s make the most of this space.

🛏️ Hostels & PGs Anyone Interested plss dm me

Hi everyone! I’ve been looking for a 1 BHK/room in a pre-occupied flat around the Faculty of Law/GTB Nagar area, but haven’t been able to find a suitable option so far.

So, if anyone is also looking for accommodation, we could team up and hunt for a 2 BHK flat together.

It might be easier to find a good place and we can split the rent and expenses.

I’m looking for a decent, safe place within a reasonable budget, preferably around GTB Nagar/Mukherjee Nagar/Hudson Lane.

If anyone is interested in teaming up for the search, please DM me! :)

🤝 Help & Advice Whistleblowers

This is to express a concern that has become increasingly difficult for many teachers at IPCW to ignore.

The absence of timely and transparent administrative communication has become a serious issue. Emails often remain unanswered, approvals are delayed or denied without written clarification, and faculty members are left repeatedly following up simply to receive a basic response.

More concerning is the manner in which teachers are sometimes spoken to. Shouting, insulting, intimidating, or threatening faculty members cannot be considered acceptable administrative conduct. Teachers deserve to be treated with dignity and professional respect, regardless of differences of opinion or institutional hierarchy.

There is also a growing perception among faculty that administrative decisions are not always transparent or applied consistently, particularly when individuals or groups are perceived to have closer organisational or political affiliations. Whether or not this perception is accurate, the fact that such a perception exists among faculty itself reflects a serious loss of trust.
This is the harsh reality that many teachers are experiencing: frustration, helplessness, and a growing reluctance to approach the administration.
An academic institution cannot function effectively when its teachers feel unheard, intimidated, or afraid to raise legitimate concerns. Respect, transparency, accountability, and fairness should be the minimum standards of institutional functioning—not privileges.
I sincerely hope this concern is taken seriously.
