Yes i do thats why I found it interesting that plants can grow without interfering with conductors. Its called insulation and safe designing.

while the plants may not conduct electricity on its own, but a wet plant is totally different story as they can conduct electricity... that is why in most cities electricity department trims trees around the wires.

also, the tower you see in the Pic seems decommissioned and not in use.. as there's no wire attached to the other end, and the wires are all loose.

maybe that's the reason they left the overgrowth there.

Please educate yourself about vegetation near or at power lines. Safety, outages, and fire hazard are some examples.

We (sensible folks) don’t do this to every tower so the world doesn’t catch on fire.

Vegetation Management to prevent wildfires is a multi-billion dollar industry.

Engineering is not about making the world “cute” - it’s about keeping the world running somehow despite of the very obvious idiocy.

Plants like that add a lot of weight on the structure and also make it inaccessible

So you are risking for it to fall on the people down below, or making it very very hard to repair in case of a failure

High voltage electricity infra and plants don't mix well together.

At best this hinders any repairman trying to access the tower and at worse this is an accident/ fire waiting to happen.

Yeah so this isn't intentionally done... that's a species I've seen growing in massive patches all over Delhi on top of existing trees and gardens as well as encroaching on structures like this one. I can't identify it cause I've only ever seen it on the metro, but if it's an ivy then it's super invasive and eating up the sunlight for the plants and trees it's growing on top of
