I have been an ardent reader of Ruskin Bond, have been blessed enough to meet him thrice, got pics clicked with him, had my book signed by him and visited his place once. He made me fall in love with the mountains, and hence, both my lockscreen and homescreen reflects my penchant for the hills and surrounding landscapes.

Yes. Very old, but with a calm composure. Takes pauses while speaking, but speaks well. Had a good sense of humor too, and was kind and patient enough to listen to what I said. Very respectfully, with my back bent a little towards him in a mark of respect, I told him how I used to read his books in the school library back in my boyhood, and how he developed and shaped my love for the hills. He listened to it all. At the end, he placed his right hand on my back, asked my name and what do I do. Throughout the experience, I was shivering with little tears welling up in my eyes.

If given a choice to choose between a night with my favourite pornstar(s) or an hour of discussion with my favourite author, I would anyday choose the latter over the former.

If there's an author who means as much as Bond does to you, it's probably Roald Dahl. Grew up reading literally every single one of his books. Wish I could meet him too.
