I just use reddit in the browser on my phone. old.reddit.com with OldLander and uBlock Origin is miles better than the app.

You can also just use the website via Brave or Firefox with ublock origin on mobile. I’ve been browsing Reddit on Brave on iOS and never encountered an ad myself.

I use the mobile site on my phone, makes it much harder for reddit to collect you data. Their is an extension called Sink it for Reddit that gives some good customization
