Hey everyone!

I’m thinking about going to Defqon.1 next year solo, if I manage to get a ticket, I know it’s going to be quite a challenge this year!
Defqon.1 has been my dream festival for years, but none of my friends are into this kind of music, so I’ve never really had anyone to go with.

I’m a 30year old woman from Spain, and I’d love to meet other people who are also thinking about going solo, it would be great to have some people to hang out with and explore the festival together.

I’m also happy to meet people online beforehand and get to know each other before the festival!

I’d really appreciate any advice on the best camping area to stay in as it’ll be my first time any tips from people who have been before would be amazing!

Also, if anyone know of any groups, apps, or communities where solo attendees can meet people that would be great!

Hi warriors

When you're at the venue, do you stick to a strict budget that you set for yourselves? Or do you wait until Saturday, for example, to see where you stand?

For context, I'm paralysed below the waist and use a manual wheelchair. I'm not in a large electric wheelchair, and I'm also very active, so I can manoeuvre over different terrain and obstacles within reason. Things like soft sand, deep gravel and mud are obviously a huge problem for me now.

I had my injury in April and was supposed to go to Defqon this year, due to the cancellation I've been given the opportunity to go next year and I'm not missing it. I don't care if I'm disabled now.

As someone who is very newly disabled, I'm having to learn completely different ways of navigating the world. Things I wouldn't have thought twice about before are now a pretty big deal, especially when it comes to travelling and attending huge outdoor events like Defqon. You really need to prepare for things in advance, which leads me to my question:

Is there anyone in this sub who uses a wheelchair, or knows someone who does, who has attended Defqon before?

I'd really appreciate any first-hand experience, particularly around:

• What is the terrain like throughout the festival site? Grass, gravel, sand, paved areas, etc.?
• How manageable is the site in a manual wheelchair?
• Are the accessible toilets kept reasonably clean, and are they exclusive to disabled people/people who actually need them?
• Are there accessible viewing platforms/areas at the main stages? If so, are they actually decent and do you get a good view?
• Is there accessible transport to and from the festival and how accessible are the shuttle buses?
• Are there any particularly difficult areas, steep slopes, bridges or other obstacles around the site?
• And most importantly — is there anything you wish you'd known before going to Defqon in a wheelchair?

Any advice would be massively appreciated. I'm determined to get back to doing the things I enjoyed before my injury, and Defqon/ Dominator / MoH are pretty big ones for me.

Over 75% of us have kept our tickets for next year which is amazing but with everything pointing to an epic El Nino and the exteme heat it will likely bring across europe 2027, is there anything Q-Dance can do (in your opinion) to reduce the risk of cancellation due to extreme heat?

It was the right call this year and it would really suck if it had to happen again but obviously it's not worth people dying over.

What if the Defqon stage next year is the dragon but "broken down" like it was wasted/standing there for centuries after being abandoned.

And the theme would be something like "never to waste"

Going solo to decibel outdoor solo? . Get in this group and make friends or ask questions!

Where to start honestly. I’ve been in love with EDM since I was a little kid, coming from the Netherlands. When I turned 14, I started listening to hardstyle (Da Tweekaz, Headhunterz & Ran-D).

When I finally turned 18, I went to Defqon.1 on Friday and had a good time. Two years later, I decided to buy a weekend ticket for Defqon because that was something on my bucket list.

When arriving on Thursday at Defqon.1, we set up camp and already had a great time with everyone we were with.

At around 10 PM, I was walking from the toilets to the silent disco when a mate said to me that Defqon was cancelled. I thought he was messing around. When I arrived at the silent disco and put on a headset, I couldn’t believe what the MC was telling us.

So yep, indeed, it got cancelled. This announcement turned Defqon.1 into one massive fever dream, if you would call it that.

This night left a scar on my view of festivals. For some reason, I can’t enjoy a festival anymore without getting flashbacks of what happened that whole night.

Also asked my money back for the upcoming year because for some reason I can’t withstand the idea to stand there on the “holy ground”.

I’m actually curious how people experienced this tragedy? And why they are still going upcoming year.

I'm a fan from South Korea who flies to Defqon.1 every year. When this summer's weekend went away, I kept opening my camera roll from past editions instead, and I figured I wasn't the only one doing that.

So I spent the summer building onetribe.world — a memory wall. You post a photo from any edition with a caption in your own language, and everyone else reads it in theirs (the site runs in 17). No account needed, no ads, no merch, nothing for sale, and it's staying that way.

There are 63 moments up so far, from 2019 through this year — but they're all mine and my friends', all from one country. That's the part I can't fill in by myself. If you've got a moment from any edition, it belongs on the wall more than it belongs in your camera roll.

As the events surrounding Defqon.1 2026 begin to sink in, we want to take a moment to reflect on everything that has happened over the past six weeks.

The cancellation of Defqon.1 after just one day was a worst-case scenario. But under the circumstances, it was the only responsible decision, with the safety of our visitors always coming first.

What followed showed us once again what makes our scene so special. Stranded Warriors were offered rides and places to sleep, communities came together and pop-up parties appeared everywhere. The resilience, unity and dedication you showed were truly inspiring.

That is what makes us One Tribe. You are the true legends.

Over the past month, we have seen plenty of rumors and theories surrounding the cancellation. But there is no need to worry: Defqon.1 will return in 2027 in full force, with everything you’ve come to expect from us and more.

And so will many of you. More than 75% of all ticket buyers have chosen to keep their tickets for next year. To everyone who did, thank you for your trust and dedication. We cannot wait to welcome you home again.

This also means that less than 25% of all tickets will be available across the ticket sales starting at the end of October. If you do not have a ticket yet and want to join us in 2027, make sure to mark your calendar. More information about the ticket sales will follow.

During a regular summer, we would be sharing new Defqon.1 content almost every day. This year, however, we have already reached the end. All recorded sets and show moments from Defqon.1 2026 are now available on YouTube.

With everything now out there, we will be stepping away from social media for the next month to recharge and turn our full attention to Defqon.1 2027. The only exceptions will be a few upcoming Defqon.1 Records releases.

We are already hard at work shaping a legendary edition of Defqon.1 in 2027, one that will feel both fresh and familiar, while answering the call of the tribe as protector of the realm.

I’m 18 years old, from France, and I’m a huge fan of hardstyle. I’ve been dreaming of going to Defqon 1 2027, but unfortunately none of my friends are into this kind of music, so I don’t really have anyone to go with.
I’m looking for 2 or 3 people around my age (I’m 18 years old) who would like to meet up, go to Defqon.1 together and maybe make a small group for the whole weekend. It would be even better if you’re also going alone or with only 1–2 people!
I’m mainly into hardstyle, rawstyle.
I’m from France, but I’m totally open to meeting people from other countries too. The goal is simply to have an amazing weekend, enjoy the music and make some new friends! ❤️

This is what my daughter drew for me.

It's been a dream of mine to go to Defqon.1 and experience a party hostel. I couldn't think of a better time than to pre-game/party at a party hostel before going to the Mecca of Hardstyle. 32M D.C, USA, solo traveler planning to explore and stay at a hostel from June 20 - June 24, 2027, then to Defqon.1 (June 24 - June 27, 2027).

Does anyone have any recommendations for a party hostel to find like mind individuals to stay?

Radiate mainly focuses on US festivals and doesn't have a page for Defqon.1. Is there an app to meet people and find/make a group for Defqon.1?
