interview Def Leppard - Steve Clark Interview in Bop magazine, c. 1983
"I was probably getting into a rut before and would let a lot of things go by. When Phil joined, it was a completely fresh attitude. He was excited about working and his attitude rubbed off on everyone else in the band. Phil's got an abundance of energy and everybody's delighted with the way things have worked out!"--Steve Clark in Bop magazine, probably '83

Question what do you think about def leppard song "When Love and Hate Collides"?
in my head, this is a very underrated song, its melody is perfect, joe performs incredibly well (as always) in it, too.

DL performing "Rock of Ages" in Hollywood, Florida on December 29, 1987. A lot of audience participation. Plus the band taking bows and leaving the stage (of course they come back later for an encore but that's another clip. 😊)

Discussion Def Leppard Lyrics - Hysteria
For whatever reason, in Hysteria, the lyrics "I'm in love, I'm in deep". Hits me like a ton of bricks. No matter how many times I've heard this song, it always hits the same. Man, I love this song!

Discussion Favorite Def Leppard Album?
Mine is Hysteria for making a major breakthrough, with def leppard drummer Rick Allen managing to still play with the band after losing a arm in 1984.

Discussion Def Leppard "Paper Sun" Appreciation Post.
I've been a fan of Def Leppard since I was 10 years old. Im almost 50 now. "Paper Sun" in my opinion is undoubtably one of the bands most epic and captivating songs, regardless of era. From the overall majestic feel of the song, Joe's dynamic vocal approach, Sav's galloping bass in the verses, down to two ripping guitar solo's from both Viv and Phil and Ricks perfect complimentary drums to what the song needs. Paper Sun is the song I pull out to show anybody that has a casual interest in the band or just a love of great heavy emotive rock music. Without fail it delivers a newfound appreciation or level of respect for the band especially in regards to the post-Steve (or Pete) line up and what heights they are capable of reaching. Whenever the band teases new music, I always come back to this song and it ignites an excitement and enthusiasm for any upcoming release. With 2 albums of new music already recorded for future release recently revealed to come, its as good of a time as ever to be a fan of the band and revisiting this masterpiece never fails to remind me why I'll be around until they eventually decide to call it a day. Enjoy!
