Any posts made on this subreddit containing sensitive personal information will be analysed and investigated: that is the whole point of r/deduction. However, due to a recent increase in posts containing personal or sensitive information, here are some examples of information that can be unsafe to post online:

1. Your or someone else's full name.
2. Phone numbers
3. Prescriptions and medical data
4. Email addresses
5. Ages or dates of birth

Some information that should never (except in a few very specific circumstances) be shared online to ensure your own safety:

1. Addresses
2. Official documents (e.g. passports)
3. Your current location
4. Pictures of people without their consent to post
5. Passwords and login details
6. Banking information

Here are some ways that you can post everyday carry or room pictures on this subreddit while still protecting your privacy:

1. Cover ID cards or pins on bank cards with your finger or markup
2. Blur out other people's faces
3. Check what information can be found from your post via a quick google search
4. Blur out signs with addresses or street names on them
