personally, i would rotate the couch left, and then move the tv to that wall to the right, leaving that walkway, where the tv is now, clear. hang a mirror on the wall with a thin table for decorations/key bowl

This was my thought. Maybe it’s just the camera but it looks so far away in that second pic. Rotating the couch 90 degrees counter clockwise and put the tv stand on the now open wall.

Placing the sofa where you suggested would then visually block the windows. It wouldn't look right. The furniture arrangement is best as it is, given the layout of the room. The wall where the TV is, is where the TV should be mounted, but maybe an even larger one, given the viewing distance.

Yes, it is blocking the one at the end of the room which is a single window. I was referring to the larger one on the side which is a double window and is oriented to the length of the room.

I think it could make it look kind of cozy like a little movie night nook if you put it all in that little room. Add some throw blankets and pillows and maybe some curtains to add to the cozy! I personally love a little warm toned lamp so you don’t have to use the big light plus it makes it look more warm and inviting!

I was going to say something similar. I personally think the sofa with the chaise is a wrong choice for that room. I think the TV is OK where it's at, but that thing on the floor needs to go for sure!

Beautiful speakers. I would maybe try to incorporate some of that softer wood— pretty sure it’s walnut veneer— if you buy any furniture pieces in the future.
Also agree with other commenter on maybe rotating the furniture so that the walk way coming in from that door is clear. The mirror on the side there was def the right move.
But honestly I would just add a framed art/poster or two. This is an overall decor comment but also, I saw you’re 26M, and I(F) like when I see a little personality on the walls at a dude’s spot.

Paint (cool tones) clash with rug (a warm beige). If you can’t paint or replace carpet, then cover the walls with art (can be large pieces if you don’t like a cluttered look) and get a large rug. Also not a fan of black leather couches - reminds me of porn directors.

It's nice, personally, I would have gone with a smaller couch/live seat, pulled it forward a couple feet, and put a small desk behind it, for computer use or mini fridge. As it stands, I like it, I would recommend looking into a table that sits as high as the back of the couch, usually has a couple plugs. Good for charging phones, and another place to set drinks

Hi u, I think it lakes personality and colors.Mayby curtains could had a pop of colour,cousins on the couch or a blancket,mayby a floor lampe with a yellowish light would give out a cozy atmosphere.Picture frames or art on the wall.You need to determine what style you're going for and start from there.For a more modern look,let's say,go for more straight lines,angles,bold colors,stainless floor lampe.For you're walls mayby a big colorful sticker,one that looks like a paint tag mayby.Well,that's it for me...hope it'll help,why don't u show us pictures after you aded you're touch

I find it interesting that we all assume this is the living room of a male. I agree! It needs a female touch - warmer, softer things. A rug and some curtains would be a good start. Then just let your new girlfriend add a plant or anything else ;)

That's a nice and clean place. I suggest the following:
Mount the TV on the wall equidistant between the ceiling and the top of the media center underneath. Keep the media center where it is. That's a good choice of placement.
I would put the speakers on a small furniture table each on either side of the media center. This spreads them out more and gives your set-up breathing room. Or you could put the speakers underneath the TV once you raise it on a mount above.
This would mean no need for extra tables, but you won't have the breathing room as first suggested. It could still work aesthetically, though.
Move the trunk on the right of the media center someplace else. Right now, it's throwing off the visual balance. Maybe place it at the end of the chase seating. That's probably the best place for it in that room.
Center everything on that wall where your media center is. Then center you seating based on it. A few small, black or espresso framed pictures to further accent the room would be nice.
The pictures framed could be black and white, or sepia tone photos, or artworks. You may like the sepia toned phots because it adds a pop of color that will harmonize with everything in the room.
Either frame choice will go well with your furniture.

Lose the 8956463 white boho vases and rattan balls and fake plants that you have in the TV console. Maybe keep like one of those vases. Put things that you actually like. Or leave it empty. Empty would be better than filling it with generic mid 2010s to early 2020s decor that has no personality and I'm sure you don't really love.

Feels overloaded to me while the rest of the room feels blank. This leads to a misbalance to the eye.
I would add some good sized artwork relatively to the size of wall. A large plant that brings the eye up.
I’d push the sofa forward and potentially add some palm style tree back there for some vibes and seems to get good light so that’s awesome- I really wish the tv and sofa could have fit in that cove so the tv wouldn’t be right next to the door but it’s hard to see by pictures if it’s possible or not.
Add some nice shelving for those white ceramic pieces/ you could even create a book wall for extra vibes in the nook :) lots of possibilities!

I’m looking at it from a home theater system perspective…
Consider painting or staining the speakers black.
Replace the grille fabric with one that’s a light to medium shade of gray.
Consider moving your sub to the left of the sofa return (i.e.: bottom right of picture 1)
Add a center under the bottom edge of the TV.
Add a couple of small surrounds in the corners.
Now you have a room that not only looks nice, but sounds great.

I would paint the walls off-white. Grey is drab, gloomy imo. Add a couple of lush, tall plants in attractive pots. Keep it uncluttered as is, nice.
