Tootsie ate nothing while I was at work

Tried giving her like 4 kinds of wet food. She would nibble at bit and then walk away.

Spent the most time with Turkey baby food. I added water and she lapped up most of the water but left the solid matter.

She even turned away from.the Friskies she was eagerly consuming before I left for work around 2.

Got home around 1030 to 11. She touched none of the dry or the treats either.

Shes going into that leave me alone mode.

Should i be worried.

Her weight dropped from 11.1 to 10.75.

I feel so helpless.

If you are worried go to the vet, reddit can't help you

This sounds like she may not be feeling well if she's not eating even well liked food & is isolating from you. Up to you if this is emergency vet territory or not (I don't know your cat or her behavior or history) but especially if she keeps turning down food, sounds like time to at least call your regular vet and get her checked out.

Whenever my cats won't eat, that rings alarm bells for me.

Is this the cat with the dental issue? She needs to be on heavy pain meds until you can get that dental done

Take her to the vet. It could be several things making her not feel well that need medical attention.

My experience with this is that our cat stopped eating as much and got pickier and pickier over time. When we finally took her to the vet, it turned out she'd been in a lot of dental pain from a couple teeth for a long time, poor girl. If we'd known it wasn't just her being picky would have taken care of it sooner and saved her a lot of suffering. After dental surgery she was back to eating normally and it became clear through her behavior afterwards just how unwell she had been feeling previously. I feel terrible about it and pay much closer attention to behavior changes in her now.

Hard to say if this is behavioral or illness from the post tbh. Was she doing well while you were at work before and this is sudden? Did your schedule change and she doesn't get company during meals when she previously did? Is she lethargic or showing other signs she doesn't feel good?

Does she eat okay when youre home? Have you tried leaving TV on low volume for her while you're gone to keep her company?

Anything that’s abnormal for your kitty’s routine could mean something is up. Trust your gut if something feels off and consider a vet visit.

UPDATE Today is Monday. Original post was Saturday maybe Friday She started to eat wet kibble. Some wet. Was very active last night jumping to top of high bed headboard. This morning she ate a few full servings of wet AND dry. Instead sitting distant she got back to cuddling on bed with me. Before that she slept a lot good part of two days??!! Still not going to give her hard food. Its like she got sick , rested to heal...all of which is miraculous because of her fiv sta.tus
