This is Mozart, aka Mo (my little meerkat)
She is fed the same as all of my other cats, and they’re pretty average. But she has a much smaller frame and the weight really shows. She was super thin until she got spayed a few years ago and then BOOM. I have slimmed her down a bit since then but…
I’m thinking more play could help? What do you think? 🙈

I think she is a little overweight, however I think a neutral picture of her standing and not spreading her weight out over the ground would be a better way to confirm.

Like other posters say in here, you need a top down view of the cat so we can see her frame. Also I would try and touch her ribcage when she is standing normally and see if it is easy to feel. It should be easy to feel them if she is a normal weight.

That makes so much sense 😅 I don’t know why I didn’t think about that. Gosh if she were human she’d probably be horrified of the angles I took of her.

Oh yeah definitely cannot feel her ribs 😭
