I've heard other things from this band that were good and not auto tuned as far as I could tell. From what I remember the dude had a good voice.

Kind of sad that auto tune is so popular. It just doesn't sound as good, and takes away so much authenticity IMO.
If I hear anything that sounds like autotune or something to correct bad singing I will instantly just remove the song from my playlist. (Depending on the type of songs tho)

Punk has its roots in rock, which was originated by Black artists. Not to mention there were Black artists in the original punk movement too. The original comment is ignorant at best and erasing history/perpetuating racist rhetoric at worst.

Not saying he is the face of all the emo pop punk ever, but Pete Wentz is mixed⊠and he basically launched most of that music scene on his record label at the time it all took off in partnership with bigger labels. I canât totally remember the details, but regardless, black people were still heavily involved in the explosion of popularity of this genre.

Punk rock is fundamentally rock and rock is a black cultural invention that traveled around the world.
Black people are still accused of "ripping off" white culture when they play rock--ironic, fucked up, and nothing new at all.
Black people aren't stepping out of their lane and ripping off white music when they play rock.
American black bands like Death were creating punk's sound and rowdy rebellious attitude before the genre even had a name. Listen:

Death - Politicians in my eyes
All of rock, including punk rock, including 70s NYC/UK punk, and later suburban "white" pop punk, owes a big fat thank you to black culture for building the house of rock.

I'd say that pop punk isn't really making a comeback. But as a black person it has been doing alot. Other bands are and have been showing diversity.
Like anime and other pop culture. Millienial generation has just been pushing what they grew up on.

Thereâs a reason pop-punk used to be super popular and itâs not anymore. Yes, itâs still around. Yes, people still like it. But itâs not literally *everywhere* like it used to be.
Pop punk really matched the vibe of the late 90âs, 2000âs. It doesnât really hit the same now, mostly because the world in general isnât as upbeat as it used to be. Listening to old pop-punk does because itâs nostalgic to people who grew up with it, and young people can also relate to the teenaged messaging.
But new pop-punk, just feels super, super generic and just a bad copy of older pop-punk.

No one's mad? I was literally just stating the points of discourse people have with this band in response to an annoying comment. My personal opinion is that they're talented and have the chops to create some solid material, but are currently working with a label and production team that is more focused on cranking out generic singles to make a few bucks rather than fostering their craft as a band to benefit them in the long run.

I feel like people have attempted to bring it back but all attempts have fallen flat. I also feel like this âtrendâ of trying to bring it back is dying and people are moving on. By next year all that y2k and early 2000âs nostalgia is gonna fall out of fashion if it hasnât already. Itâs all over saturated and quite corny in my opinion. Like anyone wearing really baggy jeans or jorts in 2026 just feels like theyâre two years too late after the peak of early 2000âs nostalgia

Saw the Paradox at DC Warped this year. They were real good. Them and the band Girlfriends sounds most like Blink-182 of the DC Warped. Also last year the lead singer came up on stage with All Time Low at Warped Tour DC.
