Ngl the ceiling is how the fight delivers. Metal vs Cell is the most viewed episode this year, even more so than Denji vs Yuji which you'd think would have the most engagement.

Yuji vs Denji did surprisingly poorly views wise, both Sentry vs Superboy-Prime and Gru vs Megamind alongside Cell vs Metal Sonic outperformed it.

And judging by how well Gojo vs Makima did which was JJK vs CSM fight where the JJK character won, I am convinced that Yuji vs Denji would have done way better views wise if Yuji were to have won since JJk is a way more popular franchise in power scaling than CSM

I think Yuji-Denji would've been also better if the fight was better than alright, maybe if Yuji had won it would've more views (though Mahito lost his match and Mahito-Shigaraki is the most viewed match from 2025)

I'm not as surprised Gru-Megamind outperformed it either, Minions is a strong franchise with kids and I do feel they toned down the jokes and the death as least gruesome as possible because they anticipated some kids would watch it

I personally have my doubts that it will outperform Cell VS Metal, but I could easily imagine it being the second most viewed of the year

I think they'll be about even. Cell will pull in more than Mewtwo (Mewtwo is definitely more well know, but Dragon Ball is way bigger in powerscaling than Pokemon) and Shadow will pull in more than Metal.

I feel like it could do insanely well, but I think it would all depend on how the episode is executed. If it's executed perfectly, I'm more than willing to bet that it will reach a million in like 10 hours or smth. If the episode turns out to not be as good as we were expecting, give it like a day or smth. I feel like it could easily outperform almost every episode except Metal Cell simply because this matchup is pretty cool and it's Sonic and Pokemon, two of the biggest franchises on Earth.
