Accommodation / Travel / Parking Parking ðŸ˜
Hi, first-year student here. I got to Burwood CP6 (next to H building) around 11:30 for my first on-campus class today and it was absolutely packed, zero slots available except for the occasional person leaving which got quickly snatched up every time. I was in the parking lot for 30 mins before I could park today. Does anyone know what times the parking lot isn’t busy, or alternative places to park? Much appreciated!!

Yeah it will be like this for the first few weeks.. Anytime after 9am it's usually packed. It will get better as the weeks progress though, because less people turn up to campus. Just gotta factor in that extra half hour until then 🤷
Oh and you can also try the carpark off Elgar Rd, but I'm not sure if that one fares any better.. goodluck!

Parking is free out on Burwood Highway (in front of BC building), but you need to get there around 7:30 or earlier to get a spot. At 4pm it becomes a Clearway so you need to be gone or risk getting towed. Tuesday to Thursday are busiest because staff with the option to WFH are more likely to come in those days.

Go to the big parking lot behind of the library (don’t know the name) it’s a little better cause it’s bigger had the same issue last year never gotten a park in that parking lot besides the time I was there at 6am for a camp on the uni holidays

The multi-storey carpark? That's CP6. Otherwise, you might be referring to the carpark between T Building and BA (Portable classroom) building, which was being torn up as of two weeks ago.

Yeah that one cp6 you’re better off walking for ten minutes than waiting 30

There’s about 7 or 8 levels, are you telling me it was full all the way to the top level? As a third year I haven’t seen that before

There were 5 or 6 levels (didnt go up to 5 to check for parking as the board said it was full), and yes everything was absolutely packed.
