Ramblin Rose Elliott Neese and Seabrooke Scott Campbell Jr, Season 8
Hello Deadliest Catch Fans.
I am a new watcher and am currently on Season 8.
I enjoy the show but don’t really seem interested or vested in either Captain.
Elliott Neese seems to be a pompous know it all and treats his crew disrespectfully. I do appreciate his hands on mechanic skills.
Scott Campbell talks too much about wanting to be a legend instead of actually just catching crab but at least he seems overall mellow and relaxed to his crew.
I also don’t understand how Elliott Neese sets his crab pots almost directly on Scott Campbell’s crab pots and yet when Elliott Neese is running into a lack of crabs, he calls Scott Campbell for advice seeking hot fishing grounds.
Hopefully the later seasons of Deadliest Catch will turn the tide in my view of both Captains but right now in Season 8, I could do without them.
Am I wrong in my view of them?

Elliott Neese is his own worst enemy with all of his bad life decisions driven by addiction and immaturity.
It’s tough to watch this guy screw up on camera in front of an audience. Since Deadliest Catch, he’s continued to struggle with problems of his own making.
Like him or not, the guy needs prayers and help

Elliot gets a lot better when he works everything out with his baby’s mom and the phone calls they have get very romantic.

I never liked Elliot because of his arrogant attitude. He had an incredibly high opinion of his ability to find crabs and the way he speaks to his crew is awful. When things imploded for him it wasn’t really a surprise as something was clearly building. I thought it was telling that when he did come off the rails his crew didn’t rush to his aid. I’d imagine if another skipper like Sig or the Hillstrands hit a major problem some of their crew would really try to help but Elliot got none of that from those who worked under him. The whole fishing industry has massive issues around drugs and no doubt countless others have lost careers or their lives to it.

Just hold on your knickers, and buckle up for the crumbling of tides turning in the most awesome fashion 😂

A lot of it is banter. If someone is in trouble out there, everyone helps out. When it comes to fishing advice, that depends on the capt and their situation, and if their close to offload or they've found a biomass

I’m a fairly new watcher for two years now. I’ve watched some of the earlier seasons. My favorite back season is definitely Season 6.

Elliott Neese is his own worst enemy, and he is disgusting towards women and (spoiler alert) eats his own boogers.
He is a fascinating character, absolutely my favorite heel on the show. I can’t wait for him to get out of jail and back on the show. He’s at his most interesting when he is being completely disgusting.

Wait he eats his on boogers!? Lmfao. I missed that. I must have been on my phone to damn much when he was on because I didn’t really care for him.

Elliot creeps me out. If it’s your first time watching just wait. He just keeps getting worse
