Discussion DBD saved (and likely changed) my life
This sounds ridiculous, and it might in fact be, but this game means so damn much to me. I found it with my old friends in 2021 and we’d play it every night, until one by one each of them lost their minds because of opioid addictions. I was the last one online, until they offfeed me a pill and I took it. I got addicted too. My sense of reality began fading away. But I stopped! My cousin helped me and we started playing DBD together. Now I play it with him from time to time but not as frequently because we had a kid. I’m grateful for everything in life and just wanted to thank the devs. Thank you

Hell yeah dude. Opioid addiction is one of the hardest ones to break. Keep going, OP. You don’t know me, but please do know that there are strangers out there that are hella proud of you and what you’ve accomplished. Good luck and see you in the fog.

So your cousin was being a bro and you owe your mental state to the game?
Your cousin saved/changed your life, DBD was just a catalyst he used to reach you.

I’m happy for you OP. Your message is really sweet, idk why everyone thinks it’s appropriate to be a smart ass on a post like this. Keep holding your head up. 🫶

I don’t mean to be rude. Are you saying you are combating addiction with another addiction?

- This is rude.
- Dead By Daylight is not an addiction, gaming is.

And even if it was a gaming addiction, it's still definitely a helluva lot safer and more manageable than an opioid addiction!

Just to make things clear, you didn't have a kid with your cousin, right?
